77F and sunny @ 12:45, heading up to around 82F for the day's high. HI 78F, DP 60F, HU 54%, AQI 48.
Had some showers pop up to the north heading southeast last night, just missed us.
Hopper and the 2 tube feeders refilled first thing yesterday, also suet feeder.
No mowing done though. Will probably have to get on that today, some parts of compost/food plot/wood lot getting very high plus front should be due again.
Instead we worked on doing some clean up and started the mulching on the northeast planting bed which I had sprayed a week or two ago. It hasn't had much done to it over the last several years:
Rhododendrons we planted there have all done pretty well, except for one which we lost.
Have lots of hosta and a few day lilies that we'll be sticking in there before we do much more in the way of mulching ... along with a couple of volunteer redbud trees. Hoping mulch will go on sale again at Menards, probably only have a dozen bags or so left.
Will haul Water Buffalo over there before I start mowing so Woman can water and feed.
Also cleaned up the adjacent planting bed around the big maple tree and put up a monofilament fence plus added 3 bucketloads of screened compost to level it out some:
Unfortunately Woman reports that She saw deer tracks inside of that one this morning when She was over there inspecting it ...
May have to break out the stink juice.
Woman collected another half dozen or so tomatoes from the garden yesterday. BLT's are on the menu for today ...
Hope everyone is having a Good Friday ...
