no pics but yesterday used bucket to AGAIN lift the cub cadet deck up to address a belt issue and once corrected lifted my 2326 mid mount mower up to swap blades out so I can mow lawn again.
glad I keep one set of blades sharp and ready for swap, saves me lot of time. well worth the 140$ before tax I spent on second set of blades.
sigh about to start work on second cub cadet 46" deck.

Ah, you youngsters... As the T-shirt my wife has says, "I survived the 60's -- TWICE!"
I left the scholastic endeavors in 1986 and went to Germany in Army. learning how to REALLY drive on autobahn was....lets just say...an experience. been over 200mph in an opel polezie supercharged v6 6speed manual.

Ha! Gen X was unique though coz we were the last generation to grow up w/o cellphones or internet.

Wow, I was stationed on Hanau Germany 1987 to 1990. Had the deisel chevy blazer...M1009 CUCV on the Autobahn at 91 mph. Shortly after there was an all stop on them because the tires would blow atv 55mph.

I did own and drive a 1982 Mercedez sedan but was too chicken to drive over 100mph with it.

I was there 86 to 88.

Won’t say how fast I drove what, but let’s just say too fast.

However, one day on the way back to Hanau I was driving a buddy’s car at least 100 mph and got passed by a car and it was going so fast I couldn’t even tell what color it was.

I visited Germany (and UK, NL, DK, S, SF) in 1967 on my dime, but spent my Army time in Japan. Now THERE was some challenging driving! Not as fast, but still very challenging. Some really neat little cars, though...

I was there for the introduction of the Honda CB750, the Datsun/Nissan Fairlady Z (240Z), Mazda rotary-powered cars (Cosmo & Familia; RX-7 was later), the first widely-available household microwaves, and the world's first mass-produced, hand-held digital calculator (only $250 then!). Interesting times.

replaced breakaway switch harness on (2014 sure-trac 7x14) trailer. org was straight swedged cable. it broke a bit ago. i knotted both ends then tied the 2 ends together. now I have a coiled 4ft (extended) harness.
did not come with brakes, I added them. etrailer rocks.
replaced the stock 2014 sure-trac A- frame jack with an etrailer a frame jack with drop foot.

took me 6 minutes, did have to drill one new hole for jack.
could not have done it w/o hooking safety chains to the DL100 bucket and lifting trailer tongue 4 ft in the air.

edit: forgot to attach pic

edit 2: when swapping out the breakaway cable I had trailer hooked to truck and pulled pin. both sides locked up. never depend on your battery status lights with ebrakes. test the emergency crap.

Our propane company delivered a new tank for our generator and their truck mounted crane did not have enough reach to get it into position. I used my GC1723 and pallet forks to move the tank for them. Then I backfilled the trench they dug for the gas line with my bucket. Without the GC1723 I don't think they could have installed the tank. Moving it by hand was out of the question.

Yo yo wassup *throws up GC gang sign*

Well I'm not as ambitious as some of you boys, but I did put the ole gal to work a little bit.

I jack hammered out a couple flagpole concrete foundations and hauled all that away.

I Pulled up some big pavers and hauled them off where I could stack them up.

And today I moved the leftover mulch from the driveway to the back, under the stairs.

Man, I sure do like having my GC, so I don't have to do all that by hand any longer!

mowing (mid mount) today, did a section approx 1000ft by 200ft.
took grass/hay from 8" tall to 3" tall.
towards the end temp gauge REAL close to red.

yup radiator screen plugged with chaff.
letting it cool so I can remove air cleaner hose and pull screen out.
was cleaned approx 30 machine hours ago, been a weird year weather wise.

Oh wow man, I've never had the temp gauge move up one notch since I had this machine...actually I was thinking something was wrong with the gauge.

once cooled down took 5 minutes to fix and same ambient temp...barely at first mark just like always.
weather been messy here, over 11" rain in june then been either rain or 85%+ humidity first 2 weeks july. add in some health stuff and instead of mowing once a week it was once every 3 weeks. 12" tall crap caused chaff LOL

I only mow my lawn every 2 weeks and I have the same issue. I clean the screen before every mow when I check the oil.
