I think your decimal is off a couple of places. Those prices are for 100,000,000 btu
Yes you are correct those prices are per 100 million btu

I’m having dinner in Amarillo Texas. Just filled my truck with diesel at $4.58 at Luv’s on the interstate. .30 cheaper in town away from interstate.

If liquified manure is knifed in correctly, there is no odor unlike AN. AN is inherently dangerous as breathing the fumes can cause immediate respiratory failure.
I can't remember the last time I heard of anyone being injured or killed by AN. It's pretty safe if the handling equipment is maintained.

So long as the toolbar stays in the ground.... The vapors are a great way to destroy your lung capacity.

I don't know of anyone that stands near an AN tool as the toolbar is raised out of the ground. :)

And if you have an efficient geo like me pushing 350% but we will call it 300%,
How does one get 300% efficiency? Either there's some smoke & mirrors here or someone has invented the perpetual motion machine.

That number comes about because someone decided that resistance electric heat was 100% eff. so the various heat pumps are rated at above 100% because they generate more btu's per kwh then baseboard electric does.

How does one get 300% efficiency?
The HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) for very good air-air mini splits is 3.5-3.6 meaning for each 1W input they produce 3.5W output or 350% - at say 20* F outside temp.

However, air-air units HSPF degrades as the temperature lowers outside to 10 or 0*F the HSPF changes to 2.0-2.5 for example, so they cost more to run as you only get 2.5 W heat for each watt input.

Geothermal on the other hand has a stable, 45-50* temp to pull heat from, so it can consistently produce heat no matter the outdoor temps. So an efficient geo thermal will generate 3-3.5 wats for every 1 watt input.

But they are more expensive to install and maintain than air source so there are trade offs.

It's not that at all actually. It's more like the tool bar comes partially out of the ground because of uneven terrain and if the wind is blowing the wrong way...Bam, you get in the vapor. Happened to the farmer down the road and now he has to have an oxygen bottle and mask with him constantly.
