Feel better? I'm curious why you care this much and/or have the need for the Branson crowd to acknowledge your sage predictions.
So here, I'll acknowledge you.
TYM did buy Kukje
Cummins does have Kukje build the Onan designed, Cummins A series engine.
Branson will most likely be rebadged to TYM and may even stop designing its own tractors.

The world will still turn, and Branson owners will continue to enjoy their tractors.

Here, let me correct you...

The diesel was designed by Kohler, there NOW I feel better. lol lol

Have a great day!

EDIT: I deleted my dis, I'm trying to be less sarcastic :) -- You must be a blast at parties LOL

The Cummins A Series diesel engine family was conceived as the Onan L Series (1*). That design began with a clean sheet of paper without tooling constraints. The designers were thus free to minimize package size and optimize application flexibility, structural characteristics, and service ability.

It's true, it was an Onan bought by Cummins, but Onan got it from Kohler, so originally it was a Kohler design. It probably did get some small changes along the way, but no big changes were made to the Kohler design.

No dis to you, or anyone else in here...

If you say so. Everything I find makes no mention of Kohler but I'll take your word for it ;)

A series was evolutionary from Onan L series which this claims was developed by onan in 1977

But honestly I have stuff to do outside, just here eating my lunch :) we can squabble about this or I can go outside and enjoy the sun :)
I know what my vote is.

Actually from what was in a linked article sometime back on TBN and "IIRC"- when Cummins revamped the design possibly with Kukje input, they switched from a replaceable liner block to a parent material block, and they reinforced some areas as well as thickening the block to head surface(s) as well.
Great Idea since these engines are definitely a stressed member engine/tractor design.

With Branson's production and sales increases plus TYM adding the engine to some of their models as well, the updated Cummins design changes sure seem to have only improved on overall long term reliability.

I tried to find that article but must not be searching correctly for it.

I read the same in the past, it is one of the Kukje main sites I think.

Found this (which BTW says the engine was originally Onan :) )

But a snippet in this says we are all wrong :)

So their title of "Another step down" is just referring to Cummins able to market a .9 liter diesel engine not that Cummins has again lowered it's standards.

I absolutely think the B series engines are The 3/4 and one ton truck Bench mark for reliability.
Casual reading of the article name would mislead a reader to a Wrong conclusion about the Cummins A series/Kukje diesel engines.
Nothing I read in there was Knocking the engine and the reference to the different oil pan models available to strengthen the block even further was also positive info.a bit of click bait 'Cummins and Step down" to get readers

Yeah agree. I took it to mean a step down in size, but I see how the title is click bait.

I'm just wondering if you guys will be crying big crocodile tears when the Branson name is gone, and they are ALL called TYM's from that day on??

I'm betting that's what WILL happen.

SR
If that happens I'll just be proud I got mine when I did! Maybe they will keep the name and change the color, then I still have bragging rights; "oh, yeah, I have a red Branson."

An official statement has been released by the German importer for Branson regarding the TYM deal. It was translated from German, so some errors may be present.

"Dear Customers,

As you probably know, Kukje Machinery in 2016 Tong Yang Moolsan Group, which sells its tractors under the name TYM .

In January 2022, the final steps towards the merger were then successfully implemented. was created in December 2020, TYM Corporation is now the largest tractor manufacturer in South Korea and is thus continuing the successful growth course of recent years.

With the complete takeover of Kukje Machinery, there are now adjustments.

In order to transfer the synergies of the merger to the brand name as well, a global standardization of the brand name be implemented on October 1st, 2022. The TYM brand will emerge from the previously separate brands Branson tractors and TYM tractors, which will occupy a stronger and uniform position in the market. In addition, the coloring of TYM tractors (similar red tone and black chassis) is extended to former Branson models.

It is important that former Branson models technically unchanged as usual are imported by us . The rim color of our accessory tires remains the familiar black-grey.

Due to the manufacturer's strategy, we benefit from access to a larger spare parts warehouse with better availability and from increased production capacities , which shorter delivery times . The information between us and the manufacturer improves thanks to more service personnel in Korea and the focus set by the manufacturer, which is now much higher in the areas service , sustainable customer loyalty and strengthening your own brand image , is also an advantage.

Tong Yang Moolsan invests a lot in the development your products. We have already benefited from this with the 05 series and the factory cabin of the F series. In addition, Tong Yang Moolsan started a cooperation with Deutz this year to develop an environmentally friendly drive train for tractors.

Considering the possibilities and chances that are new for you and for us, one can already successful course of growth speak We look forward to taking another step with you into a successful future .

The team of
Weber devices GmbH "

I'm curious to see how they will handle the different importers in Europe. Typically the importer for TYM is a different company than the importer for Branson.

Looks like the I overestimated how long it would take for the Branson name to vanish.

So the Branson line will still exist, but just be called TYM?

Black-grey wheels? Must be a translation error.

Unsure if I should be quickly selling my 2610h or rushing to order 3 new ones before October. Ha ha!

Until new models come out between Branson and TYM, yes, I would imagine they will still sell Branson and call it Branson by TYM or just TYM. Something along those lines.

Regarding the wheels, Branson Germany typically sells their Branson tractors with the grey rims and R1 Radial tires unless the costumer wants other types of tires.

They also have a Black Edition on different models.

Love to have that color option :) I like my Branson but red is my least favorite vehicle color. Both my tractors are red :( not the worst problem ever though. At least my Grasshopper is poop brown :ROFLMAO:

I'm in the same position as you. I'm not a fan of red either, but ended up with a red tractor regardless. And if I didn't go with the Branson, I would've most likely end up with another red tractor as well, an Antonio Carraro. 😅

Looks like we have similar taste :) My Antonio Carraro is an awesome tractor. The difference between it an the Branson is remarkable. Branson is a basic get the job done type of tractor, nothing fancy. The AC has every feature I can think of except auto fan reverse. Seems well engineered and thought out. I only have 30 hours on it so far but it has been a pleasure to use.

Those are indeed great tractors. The few that pop up for sale used every once in a while tend to have over 8000 hours, mainly working on fruit farms doing all kinds of tasks, like loading trucks with the boxes full of fruit with a 3 pt forklift mast, spraying, mowing, etc.

I would've went with either a 4000 or a 4400F, which would have less features than the Branson, like independent PTO,less gears and lower link hooks, but would fit better my orchards and would offer more stability on some crazy hills I work on. I'm still very happy with the Branson and I just make it work just fine as well.

One thing about the AC is to keep those zerks for the Actio system greased and it will last a long time without getting any play or start eating the housings.

I am aware of the actio zerks but I am having a hard time finding the correct grease here in the US. Calls for rheolube 393 I found 1 supplier $800 dollars a case :(
