Moving a shed

What are you going to do with all those bricks?

Was supposed to have a chimney on the house, but never got done.
Under the porch is bricked, and I did a little more when I added the garage. Probably have 800.

Today I used my pile of stone dust and made places to store pallets of bricks.

So today was shuffling stuff around.

Got a big burn pile ready, but too dry and windy.

If it didn’t have the lean to attached on the back, I probably would have already tried to pull it.

Well, if you're going to remove the lean to anyway, give it a shot at pulling it..... maybe save some work and the lean to will just stay behind!

I really don’t know what I’m going to do with all those bricks. They are going to be a headache, as the pallets will just rot being outside. I broke the band on another stack moving them today.

LS, going to put a header on the shed side of the lean to, cut the roof and keep it. Might eventually store the bricks under it to protect the pallets. Or maybe I should just dig a big hole and bury the bricks. Things to think about when you wake up at 4:30 am.

The fence rails were on a split rail fence between the house and shed. I used to have a section of yard enclosed, but removed 3 sides, used those rails to build a fence along the front of the property.

I’m afraid with them stacked together they will rot much quicker.

I've found that old bricks work great for erosion. Just put a bunch in the ditch and the water rushing through them from a storms slows down and over time the ditch fills up with silt and then grass grows over all of it. Other then that, I can't think of anything bricks are good for.

Interesting project, Dennis. Not that I have a move candidate, but watching and learning.

As for the lean to, any of those pipes candidates for posts? Even use as screw jacks to support then you’ll have more room to work after moving shed.
