Ordered a 2022 Ram 2500

Minimum truck I require is a 1 ton.

I would never buy a Dodge 1500 or 2500 for that matter. Dodge went to inboard mounted coils on those trucks and coils are about ride quality, not cargo. Coils belong on a Impala, not a truck. If I was to ever buy a Dodge, would have to be a 1 ton with leaf springs put back and a Cummins diesel under the hood.

Other than rear suspension, there is virtually no difference between a new 2500 and a SO 3500 srw. Show me what you tow that my 2500 wont.

Coil springs are awesome. The ride is unreal and if you tow with a gooseneck ball, they are as stable (or more so) as any 1 ton. Think about it. 5 link is great. Just like traction bars only better. No axle wrap to cause drive line buck/misalignment. Track bar controls any sway you might encounter with axle/frame side movement, there is none. Then when you add air bags outboard of the frame, now you have support on both sides of the frame. What's not to like?

Then to top it off, the shocks are wide spaced because the frame is so wide. No leaf springs in the way. The shocks also both have a forward angle, so the resistance does not rock the axle like one mounted forward and one rearward.

A heavy overhead camper, not so much, but that is not what my truck is for.

I tow my dump trailer 20k miles per year, mostly off highway @ 26k+ gcw. It works for me.

I didnt know talking about, posting a picture, or discussing a Ram in a Ram thread was bragging?

I DO know trashing Ram/Dodge as you have is against the rules and talking about Ford being better is trolling, but Youll have to deal with that
No trashing here Hay Dude. You handle that department very well by yourself.

No talk about Ford being better than anything.

No Trolling. That's your department.

Coil springs on anything other than a car blow. The ONLY reason they did that is coils are cheaper to manufacture and fit, versus leaves and leaves have inherent dampening, coils have none and rely 100% on the shocks for dampening and they will wear out much faster....and you still have air bags installed... boo hoo...

Additionally, with coils, you require track rods to hold the rear diff in alignment with even more bushings to wear out. With leaves, none of that is required.

Not for me, never will be. Real trucks have leaf springs, toy trucks have coils. I'd like to see any heavy duty truck (as in Class 6-8) with coils. care to post up a picture?

We are talking pickup trucks here, not big trucks. You ignored my question so I will ask again. What will your 1 ton srw tow that I can't?

365k miles on my '01 2500 front coil springs, not exactly high maintenance.

So much LOL at that take on things. Doesn't really fit with reality, but you keep on keeping on...

Talking about REAR, not front. Don't much care what is on the front as it has very little bearing on load capacity or how it rides or don't ride. Don't care if you load your truck until the bumper drags the ground either. Mine is a farm truck and unlike yours it's paid for, yours probably isn't.

Don't do the testosterone thing, don't really care one way or another.

Plenty (most?) of Class 6-8 without leaf springs.

Coil rear trucks do ride better, they also come with lower weight ratings than the leaf spring equipped trucks (at least in Ram). But, if your loads don’t dictate max GCWR, coils are the more comfortable way to go. My 22’ SRW 3500 is leaf because I wanted the extra capacity. Definitely don’t consider a 2500 with coils a toy. 50% of the driving and hauling I do, I’d wish for coils.

This site cracks me up. Whatever somebody has is the ‘only’ way it can be done.

You keep calling yourself a “farmer”, yet all you own is a 90HP tractor and a round baler. Lol that makes you maybe a hobby farmer at best.
Leave the thread to those of us who want to talk about Ram trucks and CLCs new truck. We already know all your old tired stories.
Has to be Kubota, everything else is junk 😴
Has to be a Ford, everything else is junk 😴
Wifes suburban story 😴
Kubota round baler story 🥱
“Shod” you tractor with new tires story. 🥱

You keep repeating the same stories over and over in multiple threads for years! lol

Wasn't two weeks ago you were all indignant about pseudo tough guys or some such garbage. Now you are aspiring to be one. You've got the pseudo part down pat. Plus I see the Top Poser of the Month is yours again. Bullying does have its rewards.

Congrats and x2 on the pics, I'm glad Ford is getting into the ECM manufacturing business.

I posted a picture of my 2500 working. The loader just dumped 6 ton of cinders in my dump trailer. Does the bumper look like it is on the ground? This was "before air bags". I have been using air bags for 30 years, it is a no brainer, The factory (Ram) is starting to catch on with oem air bags......

The OP has a 2500 on order, he will really like it. Your farm truck don't fit the thread, mine does.

Seems like whenever someone starts a thread about a truck brand other than Ford, the same 2 or 3 Ford owners troll-up the thread and its ruined.
