Probably because Jeeps and pickup trucks today, cost twice as much.

Considering the prices charged for UTV's they should be gold plating the wheel and providing a lifetime supply of vaseline.
Exactly. I ran out of lube a year ago.

i always wonder why people would pay 30k for these instead of just buying a pickup or jeep at that point, not like your saving fuel money...
For me, a small pickup just wont go in many of the places the RTV will. Narrow paths between trees, around rock formations...so many places I go on wooded mountain property where this is the only machine I can get there. I also have a MUTZ trailer on it....very useful.

Problem is the bigger sxs are getting to big and heavy with all the accessories. 60" wide +- a couple " Yamaha X4 is my cutoff I prefer 50" like the 500 pioneers for my usage.

Yes I love the Kubota X1100C. Good width for stability but not too long. I love heavy...it can do more work.

Leather would be nice! Unfortunately too much mud, water and rock here for a mini truck or rtv. Maybe pods (I got sick of pulling out the neighbor’s rtv.)
For 30k plus, hard pass

I'm glad to see so many people saying no thanks. This is the problem today....the manufacturers see how far they can gouge, then see "look, people are willing to pay that! Cha-Ching! Price increase next year!"

I don't even like having paid what I did for my RTV, but I bowed down for the simple fact that it was the same or more money for a "toy" UTV.
If I needed speed, then I would have had to rethink that, but I wanted a gravel hauler with a snow plow.

I must be just too simple but I don't see the need even for a UTV. My truck is 21 years old, my project truck is almost 70 years old and if I wanted to be locked in a cab with all of that stuff I would just drive down the road in my wife's '14 car. As far as all of the infotainment stuff, I have a cell phone. How many people don't these days? I can watch movies, listen to radio / music, and map anything with a screen I already have. Yes, I do have a used newer tractor and mower but both are open cab and I wouldn't have it any other way. Yes, I do like to be comfortable and and enjoy conviences too but I enjoy getting outside feeling the fresh warm breeze, smell nature, and hear the birds.

To me, UTVs are starting to miss the attraction and that is, most people are driving one to enjoy the great outdoors. Trails with mud, dirt, dust, water crossing, sounds of engines buzzing, blazing trails, the wind with the rush of speed. 4 wheelers were a full on sensory experiance hitting your whole body, and people wanted to share that experiance with a freind or family. That's what UTV were born from, sharing the experiance.

With all of this stuff in the new UTVs, if you were on pavement and you'd be in a car, so why bother?

My 2 cents, for what it's worth.

That's a nice work one, diesel I presume I'm not familiar with Kubotas drive system does it use a belt with clutches or a hydrostatic pump/ drive motor? The weight of it would be to much for my usage especially with 25-26" tires. I believe it's over 2k lbs. For me weight is great when I'm using a tractor, sxs not so much. I'd hate to get stuck or tear up a clients field especially if it's wet.
