Comparison Help me decide...?

Well, I know about tractors and old machines, but not so much about other people & their stresses.

Nor what they may be experiencing to desire new where making a payment is quite doable.

Not at all. We bought our last tractor new for both those reasons - and it has been excellent.

I've nothing against new equipment. If exactly what a person wants is within their budget then why not buy new? It's when it is not so easy to afford that a person can miss that there are other ways to accomplish the same thing. Good used equipment has solid value too - especially when it comes to tractors. Tractors were and are still made to outlast most manufactured goods - and first time tractor buyers need to be made aware of that.

This is all just opinion of course, but based on long experience with machinery of all kinds.

From what I’ve experienced, old iron’s biggest problem is parts availability. Actually, Fords n series tractors are easier to get parts for than many 20 or 30 yr old stuff if newer brands.
I find the best used equipment comes from when the previous owner wants to either upsize or downsize and has not used the product all that much.
Morbidly, good used stuff comes from the owner passing away and the wife has no need of a tractor.
Lastly, when a meticulous freak such as myself, sells anything they own. Usually the product is almost like new and has been well maintained.
