Are ATVs/UTVs overpriced?

Hummmm and I have held the throttle at max on our 82hp machine. While going less than 20mph.

I have the 520 and was towing a stump grinder and trailer (1500ish)around this week on our smaller hills with no problem. It is NOT fast and you have to control the throttle. If you go at a hill full bore and hold it to the floor it will pull the hill extremely slowly. If you come up to the hill about ½ throttle, start-up, and then roll on the throttle it will pull it better. It's a hydro transmission so it is just like the tractors.

Again it is NOT fast but we have some hills where I can run out of traction before it runs out of power to climb it. It is 100% a work machine as the ride is rough, it's slow but it is built like a tank and fits almost anywhere. The biggest ride we take it on is down the hills to visit some neighbors, if we are hitting the trails I take the Can Am.

I can see the advantage with snow. Fortunately I rarely get snow where I'm at. In 5 years of owning my SXS it's done what I needed.

Yep, what is needed or works on one type of landscape isn't the answer for another.

Prices on used units are coming down in my area to the point I now feel like I got screwed 3 years ago when I bought mine.

Our 2022 did as well but we still needed it back then and have used it ever since. How much sleep can you loose over that? If you have a job and you need a tool to do it.

I am seeing more used SxS's. People get tired of a new toy and some may be upgrading. Add in that many are making payments on them and those payments are a constant reminder of how much they spend.

Some folks are over thinking this. Used and new prices do have fluctuations as markets change.
