Tractor
Kubota B6100E Kubota L 2501 Kubota T1460
My T1460 has a wheel that needs removing, the cap on the wheel is not watertight and there was alot of water and rust in there.
Ive got the nut off and have tried puller but because of the tolerance between the underside of the wheel and the plastic instrument cluster shroud I am limited on what I can use.
There is a metal ring waay underneath the bottom of the wheel that ideally the jaw of the puller needs to be pulling from but again because of clearance I am having a hard time finding a puller that is gonna work.
Ive read online about a special steering wheel puller for Kubota, Ive also seen a special price and its more than I paid for the entire running tractor.
Anyone run across this and have any suggestions?
I understand I can make U shaped collar to go under there and attach the puller to that but it would be so much easier to just buy something like this 3-1/2 2-Jaw Gear Puller - Walmart.com ( which I just did BTW just to see if it would work ) than get into finding material that will hold up to being pulled on and then cutting it out etc.
Thanks for any leads
BTW I dont think the above puller is gonna work, I dont think the jaws will reach under quite far enough. It will be a puss hair too short Im sure

I've never pulled a Kubota steering wheel but to pull the wheel on a car there are two threaded holes in the body of the steering wheel. The puller for that is a simple bar with a hole for a bolt on each end, the bolts going into the holes in the steering wheel. The center of the puller has a threaded hole. A bolt screws into the hole and hits the center of the post in the steering wheel. Tightening that bolt puts pressure on the other two bolts and they pull the steering wheel. The tractor may be entirely different, though.

Yes, same idea but no holes in or around the spokes or hub

Pull the steering column and then use a brass hammer.
