Well, darn. I triedd to watch, system locked up. re=goot saveral time to get it back. I had set it to record - system showed it had but black screen on play back. Tried again later in night. Direct TV call up 352 and system locked up. Yep, now everytime it try to go to that channel sysem fails. Rather disappointing on the National News. Pictures of simulaltions, tests of the machine but only a couple real pictures.

I would settle for a picture of the earth from afar (encompassing the whole thing) and not that ONE handpainted image everyone uses.

The only one I have seen is Earth as a bright dot above the Mars horizon. Some claimed it was blue..but I could not make out color.

If you were standing on Mars looking at Earth, it would probably just look like Mars does from Earth, only a little bigger and a bit darker due to it's twice the size of Mars and covered in water and atmosphere, that absorbs reflection. That's my guess.

With what they have proven they can do with entirely autonomous space craft and rovers etc...IMO they should get moving on missions to T_itan or exoplanets etc...!

seems to me just looking at what they can do on Mars (127 millions miles away)...they should already be mining or exploring for rare elements and compounds on the moon (240K miles away)...What are they waiting on?

Too expensive to get enough weight up to the moon to support mining operations to bring back enough product to pay for the round trip.
