Ground up 40 yards of a special blend of compost/manure this morning. 30% compost (aged ground pine needles/wood pieces) 30% horse, 20% alpaca/grass hay mix and 20% cow. Looks good and should be a fine mixture for soil amendment.

Compost that I used, not the pup:) and finished material.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It has been a lot of work/expense getting it dependable (4 years). It was neglected outside with no tub cover so the belly pan was/is rusted out pretty bad. The first thing I did was build a portable cover for the tub. I did cut the flare off the top of the tub to make it legal (102") The 10.5' width would have been a real pain hauling it through 5 states in over width permits.

I like all the ingredients but the pine needles....but I'm no expert.

I am not either, I am not a grower at all:) I think Texas has some really fine dirt. The high country desert of Arizona (6k' elevation) has some really bad growing soil and needs all the help it can get.

Ground up a batch of compost, I wanted to see how it looked with smaller screens than the original material. Some of the wood pieces were too large in my opinion for gardens. Turned out pretty good.

Looks pretty good.

The compost experts I hear on the radio say to put about half green stuff, and half brown stuff to make the best compost.

Do you compost it first? I was told that uncomposted wood chips will suck all the nitrogen out of your soil, assuming you use very much of it.

Yes, it is several years old, there is a picture of it in the OP with the heeler pup.
