Daugen: sounds like you had a terrible accident since your neck is fused with titanium so i'm not sure the inversion table can help that. it's main purpose is to provide some relief from the effects of gravity on us. that said i've had many guys in my living room that were scheduled for back surgery that I sent home with my inversion table that canceled their surgery and sent me a check cause I had bought a new one the next day after sending my almost new one home with them.

another option might be a SHIATSU if you might have one in your area. some spa and massage places have people there with these skills, but if you have one that does it full time you might have found your relief and maybe a good option.

The top is held in place by pocket screws from the frame into the top. I have used small L brackets before, but they never seemed to hold tight. A pic of a pocket screw:

Isn't it Judge Roy Bean from back in the 1800s that had to final say regarding some of the dumb stuff the kids did way back when? He certainly had the solution to old age. Hang 'em! :laughing:

Now that the kitchen table is done, the next project begins.... 2 end tables. They will have a lot of pieces and a lot of glue up work on panels, so should occupy my time for a while.

Possibly. I've only known him as being from Novi, at least since about '05. Great guy, probably one of the jolliest people I know. And quite proud of his town, too. :laughing: Every time he'd call me, he'd start every phone call with, "Paul ... Jim Aebel from NO-VI Michigan!"

Drivesit, thank you. Been dealing with this for 20 years, just getting to the end where things don't work any more.
visit to neurosurgeon today did what I thought it would, put in an order for a handful more tests, emg's, mri's, alphabet soup.
I have SDDD, severe degenerative disc syndrome, have lost two inches of height, and no cure.
Pays to be basically happy...

New doctor looked over my paperwork and said quietly, you have a lot of things going on. Yeah.
But so do a lot of folks and I've been able to do a lot more than I was told I could, so just keep on trucking.

And the cherry of the day on top was seeing state trooper lights light up behind me, going slow in traffic, and ???
We pull over on a side street, and he was very nice, my registration was expired and I obviously didn't know it.
He said he had to give me a ticket but then explained how to get it all thrown out once inspected, by going online no less. Will get that done tomorrow, feel a little foolish but their system in NC is easy to screw up.

lot of tax forms showed up today, will work on them tomorrow.

Daugen: this isn't for everyone, but acupuncture can help some people. my wife had horrible allergies start about 10 years ago and she loves working in the yard. she'd spend a day in the yard and at least a week feeling like crap and draining from every spot in her head. THEN we found a Chinese Dr. (he was a real Dr. in China) that couldn't transfer his license here when he moved to the USA so he started an acupuncture clinic. my wife went to him after talking to him a bit at of all places a GOLF SHOW and when she came in and mentioned her allergies he said "you don't need those" and he gave her maybe 3 treatments and had her drink some awful tasting herb tea and she hasn't had any issues since and that was about 3 or 4 years ago.

I'm sure there are a lot of QUACKS so to speak, but this guy knew his stuff so find a good one and maybe he can relieve some of that nerve and other issues if you might want to try something a little outside the box so to speak.

Drew, you remind me of a conversation with my wife’s ortho back soon after her accident. He covered lots of ground, but one of the things he said that stuck. “If you don’t use it, you will lose it” somewhat simple statement, but it covered a lot of ground in her case, arms,legs, etc. Predicted she could likely end up back in a wheelchair. You remind me of her in all that you do staying very active.
