Thanks for the thought, Hawkeye, but I once tried an X10 based sprinkler control, and experienced first hand the excitement of being awakened by a neighbor pounding on the door at 2AM to tell me my sprinklers were on. No, I'm looking for a tried-and-true system with a sterling history and big user base that has already worked out the bugs. Such a thing might not exist, yet, but I'm gonna spend some time lookin' for it...

OSPi is the one I was looking at.. OpenSprinkler Pi (OSPi) — Sprinkler / Irrigation Extension Board for Raspberry Pi << RAYSHOBBY.NET. Some good reading even if you're set on using off the shelf controller.. perhaps OpenSprinkler is what you are looking for (rather than OSPi)... no worries. I have a Raspberry PI running some network tools on my home network.

Don do you take a B12 supplement? If you don't I would recommend it if you do which one is good?

It is almost hard to believe that parts of Texas are seeing 36" of rain and other parts little to none.

We are back from the regional recycling center. One nice thing about recycling junk metal is that it is free to the depositor. They are pretty $ reasonable with other junk. A full load on the Tundra usually costs ~$10.

BEF- Have the docs done a nerve conduction (velocity) study on you? I hope that your neurologist and you can get a handle on this.

I remember my nerve conduction test done just over 5 years ago.. Quite an interesting experience.

Yep, that's Texas alright. Yesterday, our temperature ranged from 70 to 92 and sunny, and I mowed, edged, and trimmed the lawn in hopes that the rain down south would get up here. Today the temperature has ranged from 73 to 82, and stayed mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain in the forecast. This morning, we had fine sprinkles on the windshield 3 times, but never enough to turn on the wipers. If we hadn't been out in the car, we'd have never known there was any precipitation at all. But the NWS is still saying a 50% chance of rain tomorrow, so I haven't completely lost hope. And I'm sure grateful for the cooler temperatures.

Hawkeye- I get them every two years. My last one was my 5th or 6th. I agree that it is an interesting experience; not exactly pleasant during the procedure, but definitely interesting. It's worth the cost of admission

Hawkeye, was that an EMG? doc turned the dial up all the way to the right on me and I heard a snapping sound, sure didn't feel good.

finished washing the truck, and while it desperately needs a wax job, at least a little wash and wax made it cleaner.

If I have enough energy left, might make some muffins for guests. Might do that tomorrow morning also.
Energy meter is on E and the little red light is blinking.
