I can't help you with the brand, but I knew a guy who used a vertical smoker to cook burgers. The smell of smoked burgers really pulled in the customers, and the flavor was great! I don't know how many smokers you can crank up to grill heat, but you might check. It would be a big hit on the 4th of July.

I burn pellets in my house. How do you add flavor? Can special pellets that are made of fruit wood be purchased?

Problem with smokers like this is that they don't put out enough heat to use in the winter. I like to smoke year round, in fact I probably smoke more in the winter.

Are you speaking from past experience smoking with this particular model smoker? It is double walled one would believe it would hold the heat in cold weather.

The electric one's will have a little trouble keeping heat in cold weather, and yes that is from experience. One of the main reason's I went with a higher quality Pellet Smoker. But for most the small electrics are fine and quite simple to use. My first electric started shocking me so it went bye bye and I went with the Pit Boss Pellet. But starting out, I would definitely recommend the electric's to anyone for their simplicity.
