Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 6:00AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 63F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.
Well at least neither David nor I can be blamed for the current PV back east. But I'll try to get an exhaust vent or two pointed that way to help with the thaw!
Thanks for the chuckles this morning, gang! You are all in rare form!:laughing::laughing:
REALLY long day yesterday, and it didn't help that I didn't really get back to sleep after a 2AM "Jim" break. Sleepy all the way over the mountains into Nevada, even missed a turn or two. No big deal, as the GPS automatically rerouted, but not like me, either. The seller turned out to be a guy my age with a little ranchette out in the desert and a nice, big shop. The R bike just wasn't his cup of tea, and his wife chided him he'd probably have something else by the weekend. The motorcycle looked and ran great, and the trip home was mostly uneventful, even though the snow banks along I80 over the Sierras were head high. That was as close to snow as I want to get this winter. Left the house at 7AM, was home and unloaded at 7PM, was sound asleep by 8:30. Actually, I was nodding off trying to watch a movie at 8:15 before I gave up and hit the sack.
As I rolled down the highway yesterday I remembered that AT&T was supposed to fix the phone line. I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be at the house if an AT&T tech came knocking, but when I checked status on the trouble ticket I need not have been. I've heard of excuses before, but I think this one may just take the cake:
Current Status
Pending Field Workforce Resolution
Your ticket has been tested and handed off to our AT&T Field work force for resolution. There is a jeopardy condition preventing the Field from completing its task. You will receive further status as it becomes available.
I'll take "Is This A Joke" for a hundred. Can you blame me for not pursuing AT&T as a wireless internet provider?
One last day of nice weather before the rain kicks in again tonight, so I'll try to get some downed trees moved out of the way and get some slope measurements for the building contractor. That means reading the instruction manual for the new laser level...:muttering:
Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
