RK 37 Third function

Glad I found you all. I've been looking pretty hard at buying an RK 37 and have a couple of questions about the third function, hoping some of you can help me with. Is the system from RK a true 3rd function or a diverter? Also, are the standard hydraulic fittings for the attachment a combination of male/female, two male, or two female?

Diverter, switch on joystick switches from curl to open/close and yes on male/female connection.

Thanks for the reply. Wasn't sure if my question even made since. Sometimes I have a clear idea in my head of what I'm trying to say, but once I type it out, I don't even know what I mean.
