Rounded off drain plug

Now that we have unsuccessfully unstuck a drain plug and a light bulb, does anyone have anything else that is stuck that we cannot agree how to unstick? :confused3:

We seem to be in the middle of a sticky wicket...

you probably have to push it in a tiny bit more. you can buy this. https://www.amazon.com/Extractor-Br...45199914&sr=8-2&keywords=broken+key+extractor or make one from a hacksaw blade by grinding, just be sure to keep the blade cool so you don't take the temper out!(grind, cool, repeat).. a hard steel wire with a hook on it can be tried too..

The key is not broken. The end is still on it. I think the tumblers in the cylinder have fell out of place and locked the key.

Bad relationship with a sibling

I had one of those at one time. Unfortunately he very suddenly passed away. Speaking from experience it's kind of a rough way to deal with it, not that I had any choice. Best mend fences sooner rather than later and yes you can quote me to your sibling.

Gently pull the key while tapping it.

Look up "bump key"

This has worked for me in the past: Penetrating oil, vise grips and light taps with a slide hammer.

Even if the key was out I still don’t have a working cylinder and it requires turning to the on position to get the cylinder out which it won’t do. I think I’ll have to drill it out.

Take the electrical switch off the back and use a screwdriver to turn it to the proper position? I imagine that if you tried what was suggested previously with a vice grips and a slide hammer, then put the biggest flathead screwdriver you can fit into the key slot and turn it with a pair of pliers (or an adjustable wrench if the shank on the screwdriver is amenable to it) it will turn to the on position and work well enough for you to remove the lock.
