Drew don’t know what they are called, but I’ve seen concrete “brick” about 1 inch or so thick but larger than brick
I suspect your 1x4 wood would soon rot

32 with a forecast high of 34F. Wind NW 18 gusting to 26 mph. Mainly sunny.

The kitchen window opens up at the corner of the deck and there is a platform for the cats to rest on before they come into the house. It is that platform that I feed the stray cat on.
Yesterday morning about 4:30 A.M. the stray cat (we named him Benny, as in Benny the Bum) walked right up to me and smelled my fingers. That is progress. I do not think he is feral. I think he has a home and just wants the extra food we are putting out for him. Maybe he is being mistreated at home. We will never know and he isn't saying. He certainly looks healthy enough.

47 and rain going to 53. Snow almost gone except in shaded areas.

BEF, thanks for help...checked, it is not set on Aux HT mode.

Eris, thanks for info and link. I will definitely go shopping for one.
Do you have water flow in the loops? Is it pressurized loops? I use the non pressurized pumps, can open and see the water flowing. Also, amp probe the wires to the pump and check current.1544896718042.jpeg1215181300.jpeg

David- I believe those blocks are called "pavers" or paver block.

BEF- Nice picture of the couch potato "Bums" hanging out on their sofa. Thanks for sharing.

A mixed clouds and sun 51コF outside. A :censored: heatwave:cool:

A recently found weather site: Forecast Map Wall I can not believe it took me this long to find it. A great resource.

That's a really sharp photo at those distances. How high is it mounted? (Looks like you have room for a compass star in that patio :) )
Yes, a star would make it much easier to find on google maps, like i found don. Lol
I've also found drews place, and a couple others.. Lol

Raining yet, yucky out at 46°.

Need to change subaru oil.
Did change geo air handler filters, guess i forgot to do basement ones last ttime.

They wont pick up honda till 27th. Need to turn plates in by end of yr, then drop ins. I paid more last yr for insurance on it then what its worth.

I'll look for alternatives at Lowes, thanks David. Rain is just stopping now, so soggy out can't even use golf cart if I don't want to
leave marks. Think we got another two to three inches.

Thanks for helping.
I don't know for certain if the loop is pressurized...these pumps can take 150 psi...and the installation manual calls for 50-75 psi in winter or 35-40 in summer. I don't have a bladder/pressure tank.

I don't feel vibration on the pump cover or pipes.

I need to take a class like I think I remember you said you did.

Have a good one!

I suspect you have a pressurized loop system, is one marked in and the other out? Or are both pumps in series with only one set of loop pipes? If it's waterfurnace, it's pressurized.
See that screw cover on the pump, with the system turned off, you can unscrew that cover, and there should be small screw slot in the end of the motor, you take a screwdriver and see if the pump turns freely. Water will leak out when you remove the outer cover, so i hesitate to tell you..
What brand of geo heat pump? Can you remove an access cover and see control boards? Look for any flashing leds.
Mine has chart inside that gives meaning of flashing code.

Billy- No I do not. I did know some of the old weather people at TWC; they taught meteorology at PSU.

I am dropping my subscription to AccuWeather Pro now that I have found a couple of new (to me) free weather resources.

I will be trying to "grok" this site for a long time to come:cool:

BEF; nice looking cats.

There is a woman in Burks Falls (18 miles South) that says she lost a cat that looks a lot like Benny about 3 months ago. We'll see. I would rather she get her cat back than me keep it. But IF I pay to get it 'fixed', then it is MY cat.

It is a ClimateMaster Tranquility 27. It's under the house, so I'll check your other questions tomorrow. I removed the cover and checked the LED about a year ago for a tech doing some diagnostics over the phone. I think I remember which one, but not sure how to read the flash. Thanks again.
