Google the tat photos and you might reconsider ...
so....was he a U.S. government trained killer?
How do you figure that? I believe The story says he was never in the military..
I didn't figure anything.
I asked.
A reasonable question for someone sporting "Semper Fidelis"
That has not been my experience. I find cops to be more dishonest than other people that I know. I have a cop in the family and have been to their gatherings (of mostly cops) and there is no way I would trust the majority of them. I am sure there are many that are honest, but NO WAY are the VAST majority of them honest. Maybe majority, but not VAST majority. The family member is a flat out liar.
How interesting. Remind me to never go to Washington state. Down here the VAST majority are very good people. And I have known hundreds of them. I used to be one of them.

Yikes... while my dataset is small, that surely is not the case for me. I have a relative that works in the Kitsap Sherriff's department on the drug enforcement side of things... deals with a lot of drug low life. He has always been a straight arrow but don't know him well. That has not been my experience. I find cops to be more dishonest than other people that I know. Maybe it is the circle of buddies your liar is accepted in?
With Law Enforcement Agencies more than anything else the top command is the key. I've been around a few. If the Chief, Sheriff, Commissioner, SAC or whoever is in charge is not straight then bad hombres will get into the agency. Once that happens and top command doesn't root it out and clean it up then the best thing to do is get as far away as possible. It will get cleaned up and you don't want to be part of it when that happens.
A strong, straight top command will have far ranging effects on morale as well as everyone being clean. I've seen good departments go down the tubes just on morale alone when they lose a strong command and wind up with weak top command. Doesn't have to be corrupt but just weakness and ineffectiveness is almost as bad.

That isn't limited to the law enforcement field by any means.
