Really diggin the new L2501. Did notice last week after getting my boots wet the painted platform was a bid slippery. Thought about getting a rubber mat (my last compact tractor came w one) but decided to go this route. I used Rustolium brand. Has a nice texture for grip. Took the center hump cover off also and gave it a couple of coats. It already had a nice scuff on the orange paint from my boot w only 7 hours on it. I'm happy with the way it came out.

Very nice!

A long time ago I worked at an airport and we had all kinds of support equipment with steps. We'd get a quart can of black rustoleum, pour some in a coffee can, and add a couple handfulls of sand. Stir it up and slap it on. Worked well. But didn't look as nice as what you did, that's for sure.

I'm doing the same this year! My L2501 looks horrible with all the paint rubbed off the steps and platform and I don't even have 100 hours!

I really want that seat cover and I see them on amazon all the time but the ordering is confusing about plastic or metal seats.

Another use for bed liner (or gravel guard) would be to coat the underside of fenders to deter the 'sand blasting' effect from flying mud sand and other gritty materials.

Did that with a leftover can of gravel guard I had and my CUT fender undersides are rust free, even with a lose chain link that occasionally makes contact.

That's a good idea. 👍

I would suggest using Herculiner, as mentioned in an earlier post.
It ia very heavy duty bed liner, brush on product.
Much more durable that the spray on types.
Available at Lowe's in quarts.

That's what it looks like now? After how many hours?

Can't tell you that Luke. I used it for a few hundred hours with no wear problems at all. But I traded off the tractor and now am a Kioti guy. It has a thick Mat on the floor. But the steps could use a coating as the left one has a lot of the paint worn off.

Walked all over Lowes paint section looking for Herculiner, finally found it several isles away next to the truck bed boxes.
