Well Ted I was part of your big March with a 78" Cat 1/II box grader. A little over 3 weeks and shipping was easy to a semi local freight terminal. My 3930 and I are going to start cleaning up the road. I might have to get a hydraulic top link for the beast though. Torn betwixt a Ct I or Cat II. I have Cat II arms with Cat 1 balls currently installed to suit my bush hog...oh well more money to spend.

Sweeeet! :cool2: One heck of a box blade, man.
I'd probably lean toward a Category I toplink because more attachments, even larger ones, come with Cat I holes in the toplink dept.
Many Cat II tractors have Cat I toplinks from the factory, which I really do not understand, but it's been like that for a long time.
It would be interesting to hear more opinions.

My LS XR4155HC came with CAT 2 top link and lower arms. Tractor Supply sells inexpensive bushings for both top link and lower arms to go from CAT 2 to CAT 1. This gives me the ability to hook to both CAT 1 and CAT 2 implements easily.

When I ordered my hydraulic top and side link cylinders, from Brian, he suggested that same top cylinder could be used with a CAT 2 rod end. I’ve no regrets.

If you only have CAT 1 implements and never plan on larger then stay with CAT 1 rod end on top cylinder.

Has Travis mentioned how much they're expecting prices to increase with Trump's trade war (or whatever you want to call it). Does EA expect a 25% increase as others have suggested?

Why would you even think that EA will increase attachment prices 25%?
Do you really expect ETA's labor/assembly, shipping costs, and overhead, to ALL also increase by 25%.
Current US made steel cost, is about $800 per ton. If US made steel rose to $1000 per ton (+25%), the steel cost in a 500 pound attachment would rise from $200 to $250.
A $50 steel increase for a 500 lb. attachment/implement, simply does not equate to anywhere near a 25% cost of production increase, or a 25% sale price increase.

Sounds like an accurate assessment to me!

Back to the top link discussion, if your top link is too short you can use a top link extender:

The proposed 25% tariff is for foreign made steel?

Agreed! The 25% price increase will be for foreign made steel.

So..... do you not think that US steel manufacturers will raise their prices to match those of imported steel?
I certainly do!
It is the natural/desired marketplace reaction to higher import steel pricing, to strengthen the US made steel industry.

No need to get your panties in a bunch! :drink:
Please re-read. I made no such prediction. I asked if EA had made their estimate public...

I haven't heard any sort of prediction from Ted.

I like thought of those companies which peddle 100% chinese "stuff"(to be nice) having to raise prices. Something needs to cause a decline on said "stuff" like that IMO.
It's unfortunate that it will cause prices of Quality USA Made products to rise.
