I'm not the best welder in the world, and it's kind of hard to see, but that looks like the weld held and the plate didn't. That's excessive force. Mahindra didn't engineer the bucket to the strength of the backhoe.

I doubt that's warranty. Bucket's probably considered a "wear item".

On the positive side, it looks like your tractor is now working so hard it's ripping metal apart.

Seriously though, you may have a good case for material defect. I find it hard to believe the 75B backhoe has enough force to tear those welds. Backhoe is from Bradco/Paladin

That looks like the weld on the tubing let go then the plate failed. I am excited to think my 75B has that much sack. I am impressed!! Makes me wonder if I should build up the weld on my bucket.:confused3:

The dealer has submitted it for warranty. They have to wait to order new bucket to be sure it gets approved. Because I’m going to have my neighbor fix this one if it is not approved. They should cover it. Neighbor is an experienced welder/machinists. Says that should not have failed. I brought it to dealer and told them I have done the same and tougher work with my other machines I’ve owned. Kubota, Deere, Bobcat, and none of them failed. The mechanics there said the welds should not have failed. Let’s hope Mahindra is agreeable.

When you have that kind of pressure on it and the welds give it only takes a split second to crumple the steel of the bucket. I was very surprised.

75B is a decent hoe but no way the welds should have failed. ( Unless i was doing the welding!) Sad to say not Kubota quality.

I was told today by Mahindra Rep. that the bucket will be covered under warranty. Thank you Mahindra!

Since the local mechanic figured out and fixed that electrical issue the tractor has been running great!

so was it the welds that failed? It was hard to tell from the picture but it did look like it was the welds.

Like mentioned above, the Mahindra 75B is a Bradco 509.
I recently refabbed a Bradco 509 that was off a New Holland TN75 to fit my Mahindra 3550, exactly what Gasifier has.
The factory Bradco welds were complete crap. Fast and Cold. Zero root/joint penetration.
So I can see this happening.
It's not a Mahindra issue, the hoe is Bradco 509 with red paint and stickers.
