Kubota L3400HST
Been looking at upgrading tractors for a while and looks like that isn’t in the budget for several years. Now looking to add a few implements to the collection. Will be looking at new box blade and a three point tiller. I plan to buy both as quick hitch compatible but I don’t have a quick hitch!

Looking for input on a quality category 1 quick hitch for my kubota L3400.

Hi, Some people buy the Harbor freight QH or woods , land pride makes them. Agri supply has a QH for $110.00

You'll want to read the numerous postings on this subject here and on YouTube. The problem with the TPH quick hitches that I've read is that they don't fit all of the implements right out of the box. There is a specific size determination to make to see if the TPH as purchased will work with all of your implements or if you will have to make various modifications to your implement to make it fit - sometimes fairly extensive modifications.

This is a good post as an example.

Farm Hand by Lee Agra. You'll find cheaper ones but I don't think you'll find one with more versatility or better build quality. My friend has one and it is very impressive. I'm ordering mine near the end of April.

I have the Cat II Pat's which, with the spreader bar (included in the price) runs about $180. Bought mine at ASC. Nice thing about Pats is that it is for the lift arms only and allows the lift arms to adjust to any implement. Then just connect your 3rd member in the normal way and away you go.

After checking out several videos and reviews online and in here I think I’ve decided to save up and buy the John Deere I match. Although I have a kubota, the dealer in my town is actually a Deere dealer. Went and looked at the imatch and it’s a pretty quality tool.

Any comments on pros/cons of the imatch quick hitch by Deere that I may not have found online?

I have a Landpride and an iMatch. Both are good quality. I really like the new Landpride ones, they are really beefy but also getting a little expensive.

I had a Deere QH...good quality, but had a fixed top hook as it was an older unit. I replaced it with an Agri-Supply QH that does have an adjustable top hook....less expensive, and more versatile.
The down side of most QH is the lower hook width. Not all implements are made to the standard category dimensions...older implements especially.
The other thing is the type of lower attachment on the implement...if just standard pins protruding outboard...few problems. But some implements have the lower attach pins mounted pointing inboard...and some have a clevis type hook up (I've seen this type mostly on rear finishing mowers).

An alternative, which I had several years ago, is the Pat's Easy Change System...something to consider.

I have the Harbor Freight QH and it works great. It was $99 on sale and it's really heavy duty. So far all my implements fit except for an old Dearborn 2 bottom plow that I just bought. For the plow I just took off the quick hitch and mounted the plow. All my newer implements fit fine.

Use promo code 73062 at checkout to get an extra 15%off. I did it at JDParts.com, selected my dealer and picked it up there. They honored the discount even though they didn稚 know about it.

I've had the Agri Supply unit for a while and have no problems with it. I had to adapt some of my stuff to fit it. I bushed all my lift pins to cat3 and top pins to cat2 to take some slop out. The top hook sticks out a little further than the HF one does which is good. I also bought their top hook adapter and a 6 spline to 6 spline pto extender for one of my mowers. So plan ahead before you order or go to the store because you will want all the extra pieces.

Local Deere guy wants $365 for the iMatch and closest kubota dealer sells land pride and wants $372 for the QH15. These seem like reasonable prices?

I have the HF quick hitch too. $99 on sale and used a 20% off coupon so got it for $80. Then I went on Amazon and bought a replacement top hook for it that spaces the hook out slightly so the implement can hook on. The original HF top hook was too close so the implement would hit the bolts that hold the hook in place so you either had to modify the hook, modify the implement, or get a different hook. The replacement hook was about $25. At $80-$100 for a quick hitch it might be good enough for a couple years or longer but not a lot of a loss if it doesn't work out right.

After reading many treads about quick hitches and everybody using really cheap HF ones and cursing the fact the bolts in upper hook always interfered with hooking up implements and having to modify bolts or upper portion of implement hitch, I went another way....Agri Ease QH1G...

QH-Agri ease.jpg

Uses different concept for making top hook adjustable...

NO.... Would not pay over $175 for Cat 1.... My Agri-Ease QH1G was $161 in 2017 BE Catalog...

Speeco cat1 on eBay for $275 shipped. I have been eyeing this as a balance between a HF cheapo and a Landpride expenso.

Ranchex cat1 is also on eBay for around $150 shipped, but I have never heard of them.

I had an iMatch with a fixed upper hook. Good unit, but due to the fixed hook, somewhat limited. Sold that and bought a QH with an adjustable hook from Agri-Supply for about $110.00. I've used it all last mowing season and all winter. Probably not as pretty as the iMatch, but it works well and was one-third the price

Literally just yesterday I bought a pats clone. It did not come with the bar that keeps the arms apart. If I cannot figure a cheap way to do that it is going back. I値l get the hf $99 hitch. Use a 20% coupon and get a free set of screw drivers.

The local hf did not have one in stock yesterday or I would have bought it.
