Just wanting to get a feel if this is a fair price. I was quoted $18,853 for an L2501 hst 4x4 with ssqa fel, r4s and a 60 rotary cutter. Also free delivery. Does that seem like a good deal? Thats the before tax price. If I dont get the rotary cutter it would be $17,500.

Thanks,

That's about 15% off MSRP without the rotary cutter, Sounds ok

I am thinking about getting pallet forks instead of the bush hog. Price would be $17,950.

What do you need the most, Maybe you can find used forks on CL

I have access to two 4’ bush hogs and I already have an old 5 ft bush hog squealer here. I also have access to a box blade whenever I need it.

I think that's a really good deal on the L2501. About the same as what my neighbor here in Virginia paid a few months ago. Go for it!

I think I’ve been able to work out a deal. L2501 hst 4x4 with r1 tires, loaded rears, loader with ssqa bucket and pallet forks for $17,305.

What dealer if you don't mind me asking, Brooks, Stanly Tractor or someone else? You can PM if you would prefer.

Brooks. They’ve been more willing to work with me on price and options than anyone else I’ve tried.

Made the deal. It ended up being less than previously quoted due to a territory discount. Expecting delivery in the next few days. I went with the L2501 hst 4x4 with loader and r1s.

You went with R1s how come?

Off topic, but we have bought two tractors now from Brooks in Monroe, and also other purchases, and are very pleased with them as a dealer.

I might suggest that you ask the dealer to move the rear tires out to the furthest setting before you take delivery. Makes a huge difference in the tippy factor if you have any inclines. Enjoy the new rig. Post some pics when you get it. Congrats!

I am using the tractor mainly for bushhogging and light loader work. Im not planning on going on pavement or in the woods and it was around $600 cheaper to go with ag tires.

That’s good to hear! We are only a few miles from them and although I hope that I have no issues with the new tractor, I’m glad that they are close.
