I went out with the B2650 this morning with the box blade to play with. It was still frozen when I went in, then everything started to grease. I tried coming out my normal in/out trail and that clearly was not going to happen, so I used a cross trail called V Ditch trail to get to another trail that was more solid, but I got hung on V Ditch and had to phone a friend to get my Rhino to come winch the tractor up V Ditch with the Warn RT 4.0 (4000 lb) winch. Thankfully the Rhino danced into woods and had no trouble pulling the B2650 up the hill. Picture is while I waited for my BIL too get here, get my Rhino and come find me. It's still too sloppy for tractor play, this is still UTV weather here in Western PA.

Oh, and I went to a farm estate auction and paid $400 for a Greenline EM5000 post hole digger. I have no idea if I over paid or not, not do I know if that unit is considered good or junk. Let's hope it's decent.

I still have not pulled the trigger on a tiller yet.

But the kubota decals you suggested getting and the rubber grips for my rear remote levers came in at the dealer.

Need to work on the levers this coming week.

How wide of a box did they go with? I have a 60" box and loaded 15-19.5 rear R4 tires and I really wish I had went bigger! The only time I get stopped is in thick/wet greasy clay or if I drop the teeth and catch a good sized root. Otherwise I don't really feel the full loaded box back there. Just wondering if you tried a 72" behind this machine to see how it reacts?

We have the same tire setup and I went with the 66” box blade. Little more room than the 60 but not as much cut as the 72. My dealer said it will be about everything the b2650 can do to pull that 66” loaded up. I would not want to go bigger

They went with our 60" Xtreme Duty Compact model, which has 4 ripper shanks with 3 hole adjustments to maximize traction for small tractors ripping and grading in hard/difficult soil.

For those not as concerned with traction, our 60" and 66" Xtreme 30-70 box blades have 5 ripper shanks with 4 hole adjustments. The 30-70 is also heavier, which increases counterbalance for loader/Wicked Grapple work!

To me, 72" seems awful wide for a B series, but, as always, width is up for debate because different people have different circumstances.

I've been accepting clean fill for a couple months now, trying to put back what a land slide took from me. All of the material is breng dropped on the asphalt and I push it over and smooth the top surface. So far, about 30 triaxle loads, I need 130+ more! That will give the B2650 something to do for the next year or so. The B2650 works pretty good as a light duty bulldozer, and the box blade pushing backwards does a fine job of smoothing and leveling after I push.

This is what started it... Sort of. About 6 years ago, the road Dept drainage box had cut such a deep ravine over 30 years, that my driveway and the grass that was once past there began to layer by later fracture and fall. No big deal at first, it was 30 feet past my blacktop, so no big threat. But every now and again, another foot or so would fracture, then wider... And as it dropped the ravine would clean away the slide and prevent anything from anchoring in.

So by this year, all of that slide slide dirt was gone, some of my blacktop had gone away, and the edge of the blacktop was literally at a 20 foot cliff!

So I tried getting help from the local Twp and road Dept., But nope. They aren't responsible. Yeah, right...

So out goes a Craigslist ad for "clean fill wanted" and in it comes. The local government will not help, so I'm on my own. I have another 40 feet of the 16" drain pipe on stock, and what you see down there is 40' that the local road Dept gave me as the only help that they would offer... And as he said again and again.... He's only responsible for the first 20'. So he did me a big favor here.... Yeah right

So I'm hoping to push that out at least 30 feet, bury that drain pipe, taper it into the far side of the valley and get grass out there as it was years ago. It's going to take a mess of triaxle loads to get it all back, and I'm thinking another 40' of pipe beyond what I already have on stock.

Rock, it would be cheaper to move to Kansas.....where the buffalo roam and don't fall into a road wash.:laughing:

So far most of the hours on my new B2650 are from trucking it back and forth to the dealer for assembly errors. It looks like you are getting better service out of your rig.

Hey Dan and Larry. Just letting you know, I ended up with a Land Pride BB1572 box blade due to the fact my dealer had a used one that looked like new. It is a nice heavy duty model I got for a steal. So I thought I would try it. If it was too much I would sell it. It has ended up working great. My tractor handles it just fine regrading all of my property out back i have been doing. It does not work the crap out of my tractor or I would have sold it. It handles it just fine and is nice to have the width for grading. I have over 100 hrs using it grading with no regrets. There might be other areas of the country with different soil conditions it might not work, but where I am at it works great. I can even set all of the teeth down a couple inches and still carry a full load of dirt which I would not have thought it would do as easily as it does. They are amazing tractors. I use it in low range and 4 wheel drive which I would do with any size box blade.

That is horrible Mike, I feel for you... especially knowing that you are seeing me play and have fun with mine and really not having any issues.

I had a couple real minor issues when I bought mine but they were all things that I could fix up on my own with minimal time. I had a couple hydraulic fitting start leaking within 2 hours, the bucket level indicator was all jacked up so I adjusted that so that it works perfectly and then there was the things that I did not like so I changed...

I put seat coil springs under the seat that actually act as a slight bit of suspension, I welded hooks and D-Rings to the loader, I made frame attached chain hooks for loading onto a trailer and not being forced to scratch the paint on the machine, I added 360° NiLight LED lights to the ROPS and put in a switch.

Luckily, I have not had any issues that would require me considering the pain of hauling it to a dealer.

I did check wheel nut torque at 30 hours and found them to be over torqued. It took 130 FT/LB of torque to find any movement, so I backed each nut off and properly torqued them per the manual specs. My guess is that the dealership blew everything together with an impact... Not a real big deal but for the time being I have a new toy and I am being super OCD about things.

I also went and purchased all fluids and filters a couple weeks ago to do a total fluid and filter swap at 50 hours. I'm not following the manual for the 50 hour service, I am doing all fluids and all filters.... not the partial service that they dictate in the book. That way front axle, rear axle and engine all get flushed and re-set to new fluids and filters.

Now you've got me really interested. My ground is clay and shale, not much by way of large rocks, and most that I find are layered sand stone that shatters easily.

I think I'm going to wait until the earth starts to firm up this summer and see how this 60" works, I'm thinking that it's not fair to say that I can easily pull it based only on pulling it in soggy clay that is heavy but not really putting up any resistance to the cutting/breaking action. So I'll re asses the 60" in dry ground and then consider moving up.

I tried buying the harbor freight one but they were out of stock. So I got the one from rural king. Look identical. I’m sure there made in th same place in China.

I tried it with my brand new Titan 60" box blade and it's a no go. I'll modify the box blade next week so that it works, and if needed I'll modify the rear grader blade and my new to me Land Pride FDR2572 finish mower. The goal is to get all attachments to work quick and easy with that thing. I'll also weld 3/8" chain hooks to it for dragging trees. I am doing that to the box blade and rear blade so that anything back there can be used to drag trees.

If I want my quick hitch to work with my snow blower I will have to modify the blower. But it won’t be easy. I may just leave that one alone since it should only go on once in the fall and off in the spring. Some measuring I did at rural king I would have to modify any of the king Kutter implements. I can’t believe there not built quick hitch compatible.
