LS MT125 Bucket Level Indicator - with pictures

I really wanted more like 3/16" to a 1/4" in groove as you said. But my friend set it up and had it cut before I added any input. At that point I didn't want to get picky about it. I have lot's of 1/4" rod and can play and play. The end run on this may be just cut the rod flush at the black mark. When it emerges from the end of the tube it's level. Simple. But for now it looks kind of fancy, white, multi-color and when I show it off there is something going on there. But a flush indicator is where I may end up with all this. But I'm having fun and sharing for everyone to choose what works best for them.

Thanks for your comment and idea "Doofy".

Lisa

Lisa, The guide on my XR3135 is also the rod and tube type and is flush when the bucket is level. Yours is waay cooler! HaHa

Well I appreciate that. It's pretty with the red, white and black. I got to use it for the first time today too. I've had this machine for three weeks now and have 13 hours on it and I haven't done anything other then play in the shop. But today I tackled a little pile of snow and moved it to another area in my yard and it the indicator worked perfectly. Kind of fun to actually use the machine and use it. I don't like snow removal anyway I do it but can't wait for spring to try some dirt.

Thanks for checking out my indicator. It works for sure.

Best regards "Doofy",

Lisa

Lisa, your tenacity is inspiring. Please try to get some photos from the operators seat of your new bucket level indicator in action. Thanks.

Here you go "Doofy" the pictures from the operators position. Granted they are not really good pictures but then again you don't get a HUGE indication of "level bucket". You have to look for this position too. In an ideal world this little LS MT125 would have an auto leveler and you shove the lever into the detent position and it levels out and bumps the control out of the lock position. But this is much better then leaning out of the operators position to visually look at the buckets position. I may build another rod and bend and drill it and set it for a flush indication but for now this works fine. Short of wiring it up with a microswitch and a flashing light this works better then original equipment of no indicator at all. Maybe someone will make an even fancier version here and we can improve our designs to copy. But for me right now this is a huge improvement over what I had to deal with.

Thanks again for checking out my posts and adding your comments.

Regards,

Lisa

Very nice. As long as it does what you wanted it to...Mission Accomplished. It is very satisfying when an idea or a plan actually works. Thanks for posting.
