28 going up to low sixties, repeat of yesterday.
Was smart and stopped chipping brush after two hours yesterday and got off my feet; much better last night without cramps.
Farmer, I can barely recognize tractors, combines not a chance. Usually if they start with a 9 it means they are the largest class?
Of course large is really the size of the combine head, right. Like tractors, these things can have 600hp engines in them now.
What's really funny is looking at old ads for the approx. 18hp Super A I'm considering, and it's pulling a hay baler, a little one for sure.
I wonder when tractors will go to Ten series. They've been stuck at 9 for awhile I think...Some marketing person will find that too limiting.
The farms East of here, in the wonderfully rich soil at the bottom of the Dismal Swamp area, between here and the coast, aren't the size of Western or Canadian farms but they are big and lots of 9 series JD, Massey and NH. Saw a well worn 9420 yesterday.
Lastest thing here for farmers is a group applying for licenses to grow hemp. I'm guessing this is for commercial production of CBD, cannabidiol, which I hope goes through since it's a plant based equivalent of one of the major arthritis drugs I take and has less side effects, like less drowsy. Yes the other part of the plant can be used for different things, hence the licensing, no idea how they control that. What I do know is the stuff works, and that's all I can write about that. I don't exactly live in the most progressive state............
