Been a nice 4 days off...back to the grind this morning.

Snowing out and a bit slick. I still have the loaner and I'd rather not drive an unfamiliar vehicle (even if it's the same type and brand) 50 miles south. So, I'll swap it for my truck at 0800 or so.

Saturday. Finished up thanksgiving. 2 more places and more heartburn. I get heartburn by simply eating too much. Food doesn’t matter.

Yesterday. Swapped out 4 heaters. Spread ammonia control. Changed bad light bulbs and fixtures. Got barns pre heated and generator running again. Last week I allowed former helper to service generator. Life ambition is to be a mechanic, he’s got a ways to go especially on diesels. Tried to short cut a fuel filter install. Left air in the system and started generator, then didn’t know what to do. Took about 10 minutes to get it running again last night. He has a “close enough” attitude, which isn’t good for that field.

Today. I get half my birds. Then finish getting other 2 barns ready for birds and go pay some bills.

Farmer, what do you use for ammonia control? Ive used lime here, it’s the only thing the feed mill sells for it.

Mix of sun and cloud today.

I'm going out to clean up the couple of inches we got between Friday and today. We got about an inch over night as well. The forecast is for another inch or so today.

It has already caused a few accidents. Idiot drivers don't know how to keep a safe following distance. It used to be 1 car length for every ten mph. I use 1 for every 10 kph and have never rear-ended anyone, yet.

We walked all over our place yesterday looking for the perfect Christmas tree, but most are too big, too thin, or too rubbed up by bucks. We picked a few finalists, and will cut one soon to try out. There is one really nice spruce I planted 20 years ago, but my wife doesn't like them in the house. We've never bought a tree in 39 years of marriage, and I cut my own before we were married.

Kyle, the splitter was $200 off, so $800 net, including full set-up...oil and hydraulic fluid...25 ton, with a Kohler engine.

Good morning all, 38 going to 57 and sunny. Have a meeting this afternoon and a couple smoke detectors to install before the meeting. Other than that we will see.

Farmer, I remember those days, we raised turkeys for a few years. Took care of the starting end of two houses for free rent when we first got married. 11,000 birds each house. Ruined my turkey dinners, that is for sure.

Bup, thanks for the weather, wife will be happy for days just to think that it might snow.

Drew, my dad had an A. His dad bought it new with cult, plow, disc, and manure spreader for $900 brand new. Good old tractor.

Going to local senior center this morning to check it out, might join and see if I can meet some new friends
who aren't too ancient. Then foodshopping, then home for a grease fest with my new Dewalt grease gun bought on super sale at TSC on Friday.
My compressor powered gun was not what I hoped it would be, plus dragging the yellow hose over the FEL arms of course just slimed everything.
Everyone tells me these things really work well so I'm looking forward to it.

33 high of 61 today off to work, Farmer if the storm that they see comes to pass two possible chances low forms in Texas ends up in New England or forms off Atlantic coast. One gives you something one not so much. Time is in the details

Need to pour a cup of coffee. 28° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 46° with a partly cloudy skies. Wife has a doctor appointment today. No other plans. Got Christmas tree up and hooked to a timer yesterday. Still need to bring decorations in. Put a exercise bike and lamp out by the road yesterday. Economy must be picking up. They are still there this morning.

I tired the Local Senior Center a few years ago. But it was mostly a very few really old guys and lots of nice ladies doing Quilting, Crocheting, Knitting and Red Hat's. Did not fit me. My wife loves it. I call her Quilting day "the Stitch and ***** group". Being a Snowbird worked much better. Lots of guys with free time while the ladies were at the Stitch and ***** events. But since you are a young single guy. Senior center may work out well for you. :thumbsup:

Sounds like everyone is cold up north. Down here it's 47 degrees going for a high of 77. And still no rain in the foreseeable future; sure need rain.

Good morning! 47˚-77˚ same as the Dallas area, sunny day. I'll try to get Mom's tractor flat fixed today and install the solar battery maintainer. No freeze for the next 10 days, potatoes still growing just waiting for them to bloom.

We are training Whipper to look forward to a collar by putting it on before each walk. Her tracking POD has been ordered and she will probably never venture off again. The App will be fun to play with. I can alway use the pod to put in luggage.
