Hand pump and automatic shut off nozzle?

I have a transfer tank that I use to fill my farm equipment. On the transfer tank, I have a diaphragm hand pump. My question, does the hand pump generate enough pressure to operate an automatic nozzle?

I don't think it does. I have a Manual Hand pump and just recently put in a Fil-Rite Electric pump that pumps 20 gal. a minute. The Manual hand pump works flawless but when pumping from tank in back of truck bed to tractor well it is a 2 person job. One to pump and one to hold nozzle in tank. With the action of hand pumping you have that moment where it isn't as powerful of a stream coming out. But I believe there is a nozzle they make that will work. I am sure someone else will chime in.

I know it's not the answer your looking for but I think if you operate that hand pump REALLY FAST you may have the pressure you need

I bought a 12V pump with nozzle and hoses off that auction site for $67. Not an auto shut off nozzle but I can watch and turn off before it overflows. Works GREAT!

I have a hand powered crank pump on our diesel tank with a automatic nozzle and it works just fine. It cost me a whole $15 for the nozzle and a hose at a yard sale and was well worth it.
