Just who are you making crazy?? Poor Travis is the one who fears things getting out of hand.

I may stir up controversy (occasionally), but discussion and constructive criticism is what TBN is all about. Does anyone participating really do it for Travis's grapple baby pictures???

I don't see what he did wrong...

I think some want me to speak as a straight and narrow company marketing representative and some would prefer me to be less geared towards selling grapples and more like a regular guy in a tractor forum.

It all boils down to me being a regular guy who enjoys grapples and discussing them in a tractor forum. Getting paid for it is icing on the cake, but you won't find me acting like a PC corporate official.

I totally know Island can take it because we go wayyy back. :thumbsup:

No blood, no foul. And Travis knows very well that as much as I give him crap sometimes that if I needed another grapple it would be an EA. I'm just trying to persuade him to make a 48-54" mid-weight single with 42" jaw opening and a fitting to hold my beer can. Oh yea, and pricing close to the $500 plus shipping I paid for mine! Come on Travis, you can do it.

I've always liked the idea of those tree pullers but could never figure out why the trees don't just topple back onto the tractor (operator).

The Danuser Intimidator is quite nasty, and right at home on heavy utility tractors and those big ole tracked skid steers!

Because you can't pull a tree bigger than you can hold. That stump was the result of digging around and pushing over. 6" ( maybe a bigger soft wood) is about to biggest tree I can pull straight up. On that size tree the grip and weight of the root ball is enough to keep it upright. On bigger trees you have to take a more backhoe like approach.

I recall WAY BACK where EA (Travis I think) denied even needing a grapple with more than a 30" opening. Now look at EA. They have a great line up and in many ways have IT and his constant eye for detail to thank in part. Remember your roots.
