Got starter on the Simplicity fixed and got about half the yard down around the house mowed when I noticed it was cutting a little low on the left. Gauge wheel tire was flat.

So I'm sitting at the tire shop waiting on them to replace that one.

Then finish up mowing and probably do some spraying since the winds pretty calm.

Just back from a week's vacation with no internet or cell service. We went camping with kids and grand kids. Saturday, one of my wife's brothers and his family came out to enjoy the day. It was earlier in the year than our normal family camping trip so cooler weather and wind most days dampened some of the activities (we didn't even unload the kayaks)..

We had a raccoon that raided our camp at night, so had to put food totes in back of van at night.

Truck had an intermittent issue when we were almost home, turned into hard error by yesterday. Ended up being mice had built a nest under engine cover and ate some wiring. I was able to repair it and clear the codes.

Weeds and grass has grown a bunch in our absence down in the pasture, hoping it is dry enough to get tractor in this weekend and get some mowing done.

71°F this morning and partly cloudy skies, going up to 97° today. Last scorcher of the week for us; around 80° the rest of the week.

Eric, I have a local friend visiting your side of the pond this week. He posted on Facebook yesterday that the house where they're staying in London has no AC, and it's hotter inside than outside.

Another guy I know out in Scottsdale AZ noted it was 117°F yesterday ... and added "but it's a dry heat." :laughing:

I use to live in Stockton, CA, l saw it above 110 several times with humidity from 2-8%, it was still hot as hades!
