Mine has a 12" A 9" would be fine but I wouldn't go larger than 12" I've heard size matters.

Check the air pressure in the tires. Most tractor tires have way too much air pressure when sitting at the dealer. They will ride like a wagon every time.

Like others have stated the joystick issue is probably just faster hydraulics than your used to.

I own a J2023 & I built a pallet fork attachment which is way overkill on sturdyness & I can lift 800lbs. from the back of a truck bed. The attachment w/ forks weighs close to 300lbs. I removed 10- 80 lb. bags of cement including pallet.

I also plan on building a fork setup. Do you have any pictures of your setup? Thanks, Matt
