Hi - it's been a long time since I've posted. Hopefully everyone I used to converse with are doing good.
I've got an issue with my TN70S (cab) where I get an error code 47 and the tractor won't move. I've heard that it means the clutch switch is too high, but I'm not sure what to do about that. I opened up the access panel under the steering wheel and found the switch, but I'm not sure how to adjust it. It looks like there may be some play in the holes that hold it in place, so I might take a phillips screwdriver to it and move it around.
I do have the ECM Diagnostic Instrument, so if that thing is necessary, I can try to use it - but I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do with it. The instructions I found online are really vague, and sometimes look like they were written by a non english speaker...
RickB used to be my go-to expert, but I don't know if he's still around. Are there any New Holland techs around this forum these days?
Unfortunately, the dealer I bought the tractor from went out of business about 15 years ago, and the nearest one is about 100 miles away - so getting someone to my place to fix this would be a pain. I'm hoping the TBN community can offer some advice as I hear this is a common problem on older TN tractors with the Power Shuttle transmission.
Thanks in advance!!
