Great day here, up to about 60. Put a new entry door on my wife's shop, going to put a new storm door on it tomorrow. Trying to get the place sealed up for winter.

Have a good one!

42 here this morning, foggy.

I ask for prayers for my wife, daughter and grand daughter, for wisdom and guidance as she finds a new daycare/school for 2 1/2 year grand daughter. There was a incident at the school and after getting lied to for several days, grand daughter was unenrolled this morning and needs a new place. My wife will be primary care giver (I work from home so can help some) until new place is found (most have waitlists, in hindsight, should have been on one of those waitlists for the last year to get in one of the better daycare/schools).

Update, daycare took responsibility, suspended 2 workers for 3 days, promoted grand daughter to next class. Prayers answered, thanks!

Daycares are hit or miss. Hope your grand daughter gets better treatment. Our church has a small daycare that has heavy parental support. The manager doesn't make a lot of money and has to have some certificates, but the rest of the staff makes mostly minimum wage or a bit more and it takes special types of patient people.

Eric, an Aston Martin DB9, whew, you really painted the town red in that ride. Maybe that's what Drew should get. :)

Don, still praying for your brother's family.

It was chilly this morning. 55. Got up to 74 and calm winds. Have to work tomorrow.

Y'all shut the back door up north there,,,,I don't want any colder air down here yet.

Kyle, did you hear the music over the weekend. I thought it was some hunters with a boom box across the street, So I drove over there, but it was further away across the creek. So I drove across the creek and up the next hill. The music was further. I drove another mile turned off the truck and listened and kept checking and heading in a South Westerly direction. The music was higher on the hill tops and softer in the valleys. After 5 miles I gave up and went back home and the music was louder at my house on the hill.

A total mystery till today.

The music was from Paige Texas at the Sherwood festival grounds where there was a weekend concert. That is in the next county, 13 miles away or 9 as the crow flies. I called and complained to the park today. We could hear the music through double pane windows, a/c on and head under pillow! The music could be heard all the way to Lexington, 9 miles further away.

Wife got home in Oklahoma while I finish up here in Montana.
Apparently she has had visitors running back and forth on her jewelry making stations in the garage/studio while we've been gone. I always worry about this as the F150,boat and Kubota are parked inside like that for months at a time. I keep rodent poison out and the bug man sprays for us every 90 days.
I told her about using peppermint oil that I read here to deter them but she said the garage door seal was showing daylight under it.
So she has left for Vermont for the grand baby's 3 yr old Birthday and laying in my recliner is a package containing the new garage door seal to be installed when I get home I've been told.
Wonder if it's some kind of hint?

Wow, I wish I had a pair of speakers that good! Can you hear the car races? I'm guessing the wind was blowing your direction. We did not hear it or if we did, it did not bother us. Rarely can I hear the car races about 7-8 miles away.

I have not heard the races at the Cotton Bowl.
I bet the people at the concert were deaf on Monday.

Golf Kills!!! See photo for proof.

For years I've just relocated the chicken (Texas Rat) snakes I've caught around and in the chicken house. I heard somewhere that golf balls work just as good as ceramic eggs for the elimination of snakey egg thieves. A month or so ago I had two nest boxes lose their golf balls but thought it was just friends doing what some kinds of friends do.

I've always thought golf was a killer.

Harv, with a bit of wind at your back, I would recommend a sand wedge to get your ball back. :)

:snake:Hey Harv, glad you made it back to Texas. Too bad about the rat snake. I bet the rats are glad. My grandfather used to alway have glass eggs in his chicken house.

That looks lick a pic for the 18th hole club house dining room.

. . .and I bet you thought you just forgot where you put them . . :D
