I restored 2 old internationals, a 300U and a Farmall H. I had way more into the tractors than I could sell them for. I still have the H, but the 300U sold for about 1/3 of what I had into it. Letter series, unless a rare variant, are pretty much scrap price.

Thats what I figure, I'll post pics later this week. The JD has kind of an unique front tire.

Good morning all, 36 this morning going to 63 and sunny. Wend gusts as high as 50 on the ridge tops but I am down in the valley so no problem. Woke up with a headache this morning so got up a little early. Got a good start on running the wires in the shop yesterday, Hope to get more done today.

Have a great day. Ed

Good morning all. Yesterday was a good reminder of what winter may soon have in store. At least it warmed up enough in the afternoon to let the snow do a quick vanishing act.

I was especially pleased the white stuff had gone as I spent the evening in a welcoming pub 2 1/2 hours drive from home, at a celebration for a friend who had finished his last day at work. When we came out, another friend I hadn't seen for many months gave me a lift back to where I had left my car. Anyone looking on must have thought I was drunk, as it took me quite a few seconds to work out in the dark where the door handle was concealed. Getting out was even harder. Try as I may, in the dark I just couldn't work out what to pull on in the super sleek interior and it was most certainly not the sort of car where you would want to pull the wrong lever. Maybe this was the vehicle designers intention, giving maximum opportunity for the driver to reach across and assist, which I guess could work well if the passenger happened to be a beautiful lady and you want to imagine yourself as James Bond - the car was a shiny new Aston Martin DB9.

37 going to 62 and sunny. Had a big thunderstorm yesterday afternoon...seemed too cool but the lightning didn't care.

"Bond...Eric Bond."

Back to working on my barn addition today, some time at the gym, and coffee roasting.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 37° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with sun and a warm breeze. Got all the leaves picked up yesterday. But still 2 trees with lots of leaves to fall. Got dirty part of pond winterizing done also. Today will blow out water lines and cover with a net. Then I will need a rest.
Drew, good thing I am not in stock market. Because do not understand why the markets would crash because a new president was elected. Especially one that claims to be for business. Must be the media making statements to what they want us to believe.
Good Morning All.

46 going to 60 on a nice clear day. No rain in forecast until maybe Sunday.
Yesterday we got a small but helpful .20 inches of rain, hopefully enough to motivate grass seed.
Hooking up the trailer this morning and heading down to get Kubota UTV back from dealer. Only 135 hours on the thing in four years, air cooled single cylinder engine, only needs servicing every several years. The small Kubota gas engine cvt UTV has been very reliable for me.

Ron, logic does not prevail in stock market. Fear and greed do, and when there is uncertainty of any kind the market tends to drop. I have all my investments in name brand mutual funds, mostly no load like Vanguard, and split 50/50 equity to fixed income. 7.71% so far this year, so I'm safe to pull my 5% out.

Good morning! A refreshing 55˚ only getting to 70˚ with a light north wind, beautiful fall day.

Eric you would be living in the Danger Zone but the the word "if" saved you.

I need to take my truck to town and tidy up my brother's grave today. I'm glad they were not real settled in Houston and gladly agreed to have the funeral and burial in this county where 6 generations of family are buried in 4 different cemeteries all within 15 miles of each other. They found a couple of empty plots in the old section so he is buried a stone's throw from Bill Longley, a famous Texas gunslinger who was hung on our courthouse lawn in 1878 with 32 kills mostly with unarmed rivals.
