Good morning, first snow this side of summer is falling. Looks very pretty, though I'm pleased they expect it to have gone by tomorrow.

PJ, curious on how you manage to burn such a long line of leaves. A 200 foot sprinkle of black powder would be fun.

Ed, I'm not sure if your mom is upset or really pleased at the election result, but I really admire her determination to be heard.

She is doing the 92 year old :dance1::cool2::applause::flagday: She is from a different world than today. She worked on the farm beside dad and never thought about it being different. It was her duty, same as voting.

Good morning all. 53 this morning with rain, going to 56 and 40% chance of rain today and up to 20 mph wends. Glad the election is over, Tired of the whole thing. Hope the get to the shop today and get some wiring done. Want to get the rough in inspection soon and finish this shop and work in it.

I admit to being really shocked to read the headlines this morning.
About to watch 3 to 5% of my investment portfolio disappear today
in what is called "moderated panic" across the financial world.
Boy this should be interesting. I genuinely hope our new President rises to the occasion,
and does well. It's what we hope of all new presidents but I don't think I'm off base when I say
it particularly applies to this one.

As long as there are no new tractor taxes, well....

53 going to 61 today,nice Fall day. Lots of work to do outside.

I miss Dave from Maine. Thought about him this morning. I think he left upset over dealing with global warming deniers in Unfriendly Politics.
I miss our pretty lady from Texas with her two dogs in the bluebonnets. But I know she's doing fine.
Thankful we have steady flow of new people filling up their spots at the table.
Maybe we'll get RS back now that the elections are over...and Larro's been a bit scarce.
RNG, any new pics? More blue please.

Think I might fire up the logsplitter today; have a nice mound of cut logs to split, for next year's use. Have plenty for this winter, found I don't
burn that much because frankly it doesn't get really cold that often here. But I love any excuse to have a fire in the fireplace.
Put a new 24" Oregon bar and chain on my Echo 600 and looking forward to having at those logs with it. Old bar got into, ahem, too much sandy soil and really gunked it up.
I need to thoroughly clean it (wish I had one of those nifty degreasing stations) and put it up on the wall as a spare if I really bend the new one some day.
Seeing wood chips pile up on my shoe from a powerful saw with a sharp chain is a real pleasure.

Ron, I believe I was in the small minority in my area, lot of happy faces around here today I'm sure.
They'll be getting out their Confederate flags and waving them too likely.

I have never liked politicians because I think our system is broken. The blue and red teams
are not in our best interest, but no more on that. We may get that system changed somewhat now, but until
all the other elected officials are on some kind of new page, prior Congressional paralysis is still a possibility.
What I'm saying is the system is still the same, we've just changed our President, our CEO...
We sure shall see.
But if there is an ego meter, it just learned a new high point...even past Putin's...

Good morning! 62˚ cloudy.

Ed, Evelyn Oswick, who was in Forks Over Knives, passed away this week at the age of 90. About 30 years ago, Evelyn's cardiologist said she wouldn't live out the year. Then she became a patient in Dr. Esselstyn's groundbreaking study on heart disease and plant based diet and went on to live and thrive for 30 more years. That's the reason and I have changed my diet so drastically. I'm not ready to say goodbye to loved ones. My wife thanks me everyday, we have had the same number of Anniversaries as Toppop. It really helps that she is on the same diet and a good cook. My brother's death is a harsh reminder what happens when nothing is changed. Never seen line so long at our polling place - my sons' elementary school...at least during the one hour wait moving through the hall, cafeteria and gym, we could look at 1st grader art, motivational posters, etc. My wife and I went to dinner at a friends house and to watch the election results...it was an all American dinner...chicken, squash, home baked bread, and apple pie! I can't believe we didn't get home until 3am.

Wife's first day back to school. She's not happy.

I'll be trying to finish up youngest boys bedroom today.

See I was the opposite of what the tv is saying. If the other side would have won I'd been looking for a different country to live in. First president without a military or political background. Good, bad, don't know. I believe one reason he's been so successful in business is he's surrounded himself with the right people for the right jobs. I just hope he continues to do so.
