what a depressing weather forecast to look at...looks like Texas weather headed here.
Billy, the forecast for the beach is not good all the way through next weekend.
So....I'm calling them today and going to see if I can push the reservation back one week.
Afternoon storms are one thing, day after day of rain is another. Worst case is I take a hit for one night's rental.
I'd rather do that than sit down there in the pouring rain all day.
Today might remain clear until late, highs in the 80's. going to do some weedeating and was going to water shrubs even with the forecast as it is. We've had hot dry weather here for several days, which has done wonders in the garden. Had my first meal of snow peas/edible pod peas whatever they are called, last night and boy were they sweet and yummy. Hard to see the peas; just a mass of green with everything the same color.
And I pulled my first onion yesterday. Some of them are soft and not growing; not sure what is going on there, drainage is good in the raised garden ,not sure why they are going soft. I pulled the largest one, about three inches across and it is headed for a sandwich soon. Georgia sweet onions, probably a Vidalia copy/cousin.
Lastly, I turned off the electric fence and carefully got down into the strawberry patch and picked six strawberries yesterday. Four were not great but two were just as sweet as could be. Didn't even wait to bring them in to cool them off. A little energy on the go...
So far the rabbits haven't found my garden. So far...
