Just acquired red 150d yanmar tractor with fel. Seems that this is rare model? Parts manual that came with it says YM155d not 150d as on hood. Phoned Hoyle in Texas and they said never heard of this model. Grey market? Looking for drag rod for steering linkage and some other parts. Would any one out there have a repair manual or able to advise me about this little guy. (It runs great after we drained the water out of every thing, and changed fluids) since it had been left out in field over winter. Changed 4 hoses on loader. Loader is really slow up and down and curl . Is there a filter in reservoir?) I know very little about tractor hydraulics, but did change fluid JD303 spec. and cleaned screen Thx Boltz

Probably a 1500D, not 150D. Post a photo and we'll have a look see.

Will get my better half to post some pictures, tomorrow if possible. I'm not great on computer stuff. Have tractor at work. Tractor looks almost identical to YM 155D model on front of factory parts list manual that I was given with tractor. Thx

Are decals, etc. printed in English or Japanese?

Took pics today and wife said will try to get them to upload. Decals are 90% English, but was told by Hoye that engine serial number was near starter (left side of engine). No serial number there, unless you have to remove starter to see number on engine block. There is what looks to be a missing serial plate maybe, that was on the left side of transmission tunnel, that maybe fell off due to age or weather. There is a number that starts with YM13000 or YM1300D-0xxx below where missing decal or plate was that is stamped into tunnel. Also on right side of tunnel ,near diff lock if memory serves is plate with Japanese script on 3 lines and YM?300D. Middle line above has 880 and script on both sides. I am reading this off her phone right now and if she is not too busy will post pics Wed. Sorry to take so long on pics. Thx (In pics front tires are mounted with tread backwards, haven't got to that yet) The more I research this tonight, I am beginning to think it is a YM1300D, mostly due to stamp on trans tunnel but there is 150D decal on one side of hood that I have been using as the model reference, incorrectly I guess, and also because past owner gave me Yanmar parts list for YM155D. Her husband passed away and he was the original purchaser, so wife is not 100% sure about data. Pardon my rambling, but may have have answered my own question. Will post tomorrow. Boltz

Used to be a dealer who posted here often about his frustration with 'Frankensteinmars', Yanmars "Factory Reconditioned" in VN assembled out of diverse parts. (And those shops have no access at all to genuine Yanmar parts). Said he often got blamed when he shipped parts that didn't fit - because the person ordering actually owned something different from what he thought it was. Sounds like you will need to do a little detective work before you order maintenance stuff for it.

Next to your left ankle is where Yanmar stamps the model and serial number for the tractor. Sounds like you have a YM1300D.

But if that hood was put on it later from some other Yanmar, or at least the model badge, then its worth your trouble to verify the engine also is for YM1300. On most Yanmars there is an engine build plate riveted to the block in front of or above the starter. Or it could be up on the valve cover, either side. If that plate is missing there's a reason for it and I would look carefully at YM1300D manuals to verify that your engine is the right one. Most of the small Yanmars are pretty well supported but you will save a lot of frustration (for dealer too!) if you have identified the actual model engine etc you are buying for.

Lots of photos here will help. Other members own that model and can point out details. This is a pretty helpful bunch.

Hey Wayne - you still read this forum?

Yep sounds like a 1300D. Verify that it has the correct engine which without looking it up will be a 2TR13. ;)

Still having trouble trying to get rest of pics on, but better half says will give it a go again tomorrow, and I know better than to argue. Thanks folks.

I suspect some of your images won't load because they exceed the size (in kb) that TBN allows. Try re-sizing the failed ones.

I was thinking the same thing, the last lot are very hard to see when they are that big.

Throttle indicates a grey market tractor. I'm guessing 1300D. The hood decal sure looks like it belongs though. Also thinking it is unusual to see a Yanmar loader on a grey market tractor? Or maybe that is not a Yanmar loader, going by color looks like it might be.

I agree, It could be off a 155D hence the colour? A 155 crossed with a 1300 makes a 150 No?

Checked serial number that is actually stamped on the side of trans housing and it reads TM 13000 03347. so guess it is a YM1300D for sure. Throttle shut off lever is push forward to shut of fuel. Hood is from who knows where. Does this make sense to you folks? Soon as I can get pics to post better will get them on. Engine type is 2TR13 as was previously suggested. Marking is a edge of top rad hose where hose enters top of cylinder head. Thx for your patience. Boltz

Agree. It looks like somebody started with a Japan-market YM1300D and sourced replacement parts from a US salvage yard. Hood for sure. Loader is very likely the US dealer option loader, made in US, a loader never sold in Japan. Is its fluid reservoir in the right column? I'm not familiar with that.

I think that air cleaner was unique to US models and never used on YM1300. Its a 'Donaldson' type, unneeded for dust-free rice paddy work but better filtration and preferable for operating in dust.

I don't know if that seat is unique to US models but don't get rid of it, it is larger and therefor easier to get on/off the tractor compared to the common US aftermarket replacement seat that crowds you up against the steering wheel on these tiny tractors.

Anybody - does that governor assembly look right for that model? Its unfamiliar to me.

I'm guessing there was a YM150D created for some markets, (European?). Would not be the first time we have seen this. Although the throttle does appear to be forward in, assumedly, the off position, which Yanmars have exterior air filters? the YM155 does, the YM1300, YM1401, YM1500 do not.

Throttle forward is shut off for sure. Metal seat was all split open and full of holes, and had no cushion on it when I got it, so spent a hour and straightened it and brazed up holes and cracks. Seat matches my pictures in YM155D parts manual exactly and has two vertical rubber cylinders for seat to rest on but nothing is there that cylinders could contact to provide support , (still trying to figure that out.) Loader hydraulics fill in right hand upright and use it for reservoir. I got two identical parts manuals in English that say YM155 (D) on front cover. Parts on my tractor are matching those so far that I have compared except for air filter as you suggest. My manual shows paper element in round housing mounted on side of intake. No part number on manual except on rear cover right bottom YP7603-05 if that means anything. Tractor also had back hoe on it, hoe was sold to someone else before I got it, but hydraulic pump is still on pto. Boltz (PS still working on more pics)

With some apps, (AOL), you can zoom the pics down to 10% of original. Works perfectly in this case.
