Anyone know the year, make or model of the truck in the attached photo. My friend was thinking of buying it but this is the only photo he has so far. It does run.

Looks like about a late 30's International. My guess would be a 39. Not sure of the model / series.
Any chance your friend can get the VIN.
I have a 49 Chevy 1 1/2T that was a Fire Tanker Truck.

He doesn't have the VIN or any other info yet.

Surprised no one has taken the siren... they always seem to be missing.

Agree with George-IH for sure-and also agree late 30's

Looks like a D30, late 30's early 40's.

Nice... looks like they are tearing the barn down around it.... hope it doesn't get damaged in the process!

Looks to be in good shape too....

My friend went and looked at the truck last week and everything appears to be there and in pretty good shape. Apparently they were using the pump & hoses to wash things up until a year or two ago. All the books and manuals come with the truck. We are going to pick it up on Monday.

Sure looks like the inspiration for the new "Lonestar" IH offers.

Picked it up today. Still not sure on the year. Model is recorded as a DS35 with 161" wheelbase.

Tires are holding air... always a good sign and I'm guess the wheels were not frozen?

Did you have enough trailer?

yup. Wheels aren't frozen, but brakes don't work. Pushed it on the trailer with a big old wide-front Oliver.

I suppose it was a little overkill for something that turned out to have a 13,000 pound GVW and is only 22 feet long.

Looks a lot like the 1939 International DS series ton and a half dump bed truck I had

They are neat trucks

Nice to see you got it hauled. Jokes aside, better to have a trailer/tow rig that is definitely up to the task than one barely adequate. See that way too often.

Only way to haul my bx1800 home was my one ton dually with 10k rated deck over trailer. Talk about overkill! Or the time we hauled home 2 yard machines lawn tractorso with the same trailer behind the wife's Excursion...
