Okay, I'm dumb on pumps. My question is: Is there a small HP. single phase VFD drive for his application? Seems to me that it would take out the mechanical switch contacts and and maybe the need for a pressure tank and still keep the required pressure. I was told the VFD's were also called "Constant Output systems. Would this style or type be an option for him? bjr

There is a Cycle Stop valve that essentially constricts the output and keeps the pump running all the time when there is demand - a pressure switch is still required

Then Grundfos make some neat pumps too with soft start etc. But any pump system will need a on/off switch based on pressure.
