Ouch. My Sawzall has so many hours on it the bearing the moving rod passes through has 3/16" of slop in it. I found a new bearing on e-bay too just gotta put it in.

The switch on my 6 year old milwaukee powered cable snake stopped working on a job... part no long available...
I know it is just no Milwaukee... I have several Bosch Cordless sets and Bosch no longer has battery packs... I did find some on the net... made in China... bought two and one crapped out in a year... the other is still working 2 years later... the original Bosch batteries lasted 6 years.
My 20+ year old Sawzall had a flaky switch. I took it apart and from looking at it and the Milwaukee schematics found the correct part number. Someone on E-bay had it as old new stock still in a Milwaukee sealed bag. It actually listed it as for a portable bandsaw I think but the same switch. 25 bucks later and it works like new.
As for battery packs, bring it to a place like Batteries Plus and have it rebuilt. They put high quality cells in the case which makes them better than new.
EDIT***Oops, seems we already had this conversation. At least about the switch.
Unless things have changed, Batteries Plus cannot, or will not rebuild lithium batteries.
Awesome new Milwaukee releases coming this year...a cordless miter saw and new 9.0 High Demand 18V battery

I'll stick with the corded version because I want my cuts to look good, thanks.
