Ouch. My Sawzall has so many hours on it the bearing the moving rod passes through has 3/16" of slop in it. I found a new bearing on e-bay too just gotta put it in.

My go to tow vehicle the Boss's old 3/4 ton PU Chevy has pretty much been put out to pasture nowadays and doesn't want me road towing the JD 4320 with it anymore so now he says that he wants me to tow with a different truck...a Ford Diesel Dump he bought used.

"Hey I got great deal on it!"

Soo I had to swap out the hook pintle for a new 2 5/16 ball combo unit

And toted the Milwaukee and 2763 to work today...the first bolt rusted up I put it on loosened so fast I thought it snapped off. :D

Keep watch for Father's Day sale prices on Milwaukee cordless tools. This is the BEST price I have seen yet on this one...

Milwaukee 2404-20 M12 FUEL

One seriously powerful compact drill compared to many other 12v units! :D

I finally smoked the switch on my six-year-old cordless M28 when I overloaded it. The switch became a full on or all the way off sort of thing, no control whatsoever (but it still worked to turn on the saw). Soldered in a new switch as a birthday gift to myself this week and I'm as good as new!

The switch on my 6 year old milwaukee powered cable snake stopped working on a job... part no long available...

I know it is just no Milwaukee... I have several Bosch Cordless sets and Bosch no longer has battery packs... I did find some on the net... made in China... bought two and one crapped out in a year... the other is still working 2 years later... the original Bosch batteries lasted 6 years.

My 20+ year old Sawzall had a flaky switch. I took it apart and from looking at it and the Milwaukee schematics found the correct part number. Someone on E-bay had it as old new stock still in a Milwaukee sealed bag. It actually listed it as for a portable bandsaw I think but the same switch. 25 bucks later and it works like new.

As for battery packs, bring it to a place like Batteries Plus and have it rebuilt. They put high quality cells in the case which makes them better than new.

EDIT***Oops, seems we already had this conversation. At least about the switch.

Unless things have changed, Batteries Plus cannot, or will not rebuild lithium batteries.

Don't own anything with Lithium batteries... did buy the one Milwaukee for my Niece... she really wanted it so I did... spent $200 on the set... and one battery crapped out.

Need to look at the Bosch Drill to make sure... they are all 12v... some paid extra for the fast charger and others have the regular charger.

I did find a switch online... it's not exact, but said it could be adapted... never tried it yet.
