On the transmission fluid sight glass........mine wasn't even threaded. Initially I was worried until I opened the replacement and found it wasn't either. :)

Whew!

Has anyone with an older model replaced their seat belt? Mine is shot as are the supports that keep it at the handy on each side. Kubota prices for replacement seem unreasonable and the parts schematic I have for the L2050DT doesn't offer anything that looks like some of the pieces I removed.

I can find a good belt easily enough, just not anything like I hoped to see.

Curious what others may come up with.

Replaced mine with a very nice "regular" push-button seatbelt (in Kubota gray) from one of the several inexpensive internet suppliers. Very happy with it. Think it was about $12 + shipping.

I have had an L-3200 for nearly two years and don't have a lot to complain about. The hydraulics are a little hitchy on the PTO but everything else works great. It starts without a hitch in cold weather and everything works as advertised. The FEL is as handy as I hoped it would be and the brush mower is great to keeping the noxious weeds at bay.

I started mine at -14 F. just to see how it went. No problem.

Just traded in my MX-5100 for a L-6060. At 10 hours so far, I'm completely satisfied with the new tractor!

I have an M5100 and wondered about the L-6060. Any more thought or comments on power, handling, etc? How come you made the trade? Advantages of L6060 over MX5100 as well as disadvantages of L6060 compared with MX5100.

Hi Sixdogs;
I traded simply because my 5100 had been used hard for quite a few years, and now that I’ve retired I wanted to start out with a new tractor. Unless there is a problem with your 5100, or it’s worn to the point of trade-in, I sure wouldn’t recommend the move to the 6060 simply for the few improved features.

I really like the hi/lo range (shift on the fly). In effect, it gives you two speeds in each of the 3 ranges on your 5100. For example, I mow in 3rd /lo. It’s just a bit faster than 2nd/hi and perfect for my pasture.
The seat is improved and has much more cushion height, although at 230 pounds I bottom out on the 6060 even with the setting as tight as possible. I also had the problem on my 5100 however.
Cruise control, auto throttle advance, and stall may be nice in some applications, but I doubt I’ll have much use for any of them.
I’ve not needed nor noticed the extra power the 6060 may have over the 5100. I rarely used either to their full capacity.
I’m not looking forward to my first regen, and view that as a negative over the 5100.

All things considered; I love the 6060, but I also thoroughly enjoyed my 5100. If the new one gives me equal service as the 5100, I’ll be totally satisfied with it.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Regards.

If its been like everyone else's regen, it will be uneventful aside from the increased RPM and slightly different exhaust smell.

My L3301 did its first regen ~15hrs. It just happened to be right as I was trying to hook up an implement. Aside from the increased noise of running at ~2700rpm, nothing else to report. I typically dont wear earpro when i hook up implements as I normally have the rpms low.

Mine did a regen at 20.6 hrs. Just so happened I was on the way to the field with the disk. It started flashing to increase RPM as soon as I started the tractor...but I did a warm up first and warmed up on the way to the field...once I got there, I got the RPM's up and the flashing stopped, but the regen lite stayed on. I was disking and could smell something burning.....anyways, it lasted for 10-15 minutes, I think. All back to normal then.
