Quick Hitches 3-point quick hitch

Maybe a racket, but the standard for quick hitch dimensions and pin sizes is an international standard maintained by the American Society of Agriculture Engineers. I think the logic was to consolidate all implement pin sizes to Category III but I'm not sure why that makes sense since the horizontal pin spacing still varies by Category.

But there are a few that are 7/8 size and do not take bushings. But the majority do. Are they thinking about a "wear item" that is easily replaced?

I have an older Land Pride Cat 1 hitch that is sized for Cat 2 pins.

The only QH that doesn't require bushings I believe is the Horrible Fright one.

I have a speeco cat 1 quick hitch and love it for stuff its fits, and plant to modify anything that doesn't fit to it! I thought the JD imatch had difference spacing from the lower link to the upper link...which makes it unique to JD, thus encouraging people to buy JD implements..? Could be wrong.

The JD follows the exact ASAE standards I linked to above, as do most other QH's. Everybody likes to think/saw the JD is proprietary, that only JD implements work with it, or that they cost more than all the others because they are green...but none of that is true.

Thanks James. Except for the price and color though, do you see a difference?

My HF Cat 1 hitch is set up for Cat 3 bushings.
