Hey Drew
Got 170 gal of propane couple of weeks ago - only $5 per gal.

well, the price of living in paradise has never been cheap but 250% more is an eye opener
Maybe I should get a freighter license and bring some fuel over from LA. 200 gallon tanks; you can pick them up with your tractor.
I'll throw an anchor out on the beach right under your home. Need any tractor parts while I'm coming?

I think Ndamukong Suh needs a year long suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct.

what do you mean, you don't believe his excuse?
Man it was cold out there.
Sounds like a crock.
12.5 Million a year. Amazing.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, "Ndamukong Suh said his feet were numb from cold and he couldn't tell difference between Aaron Rodgers' feet and the ground."

36F and wet @ 13:00 ...

Spent most of yesterday afternoon dickin' around with fire wood - mostly hauling logs back thru the woods from Bobbi's house. It's some really nice looking oak ... smells good too ... sure would be nicer if it was seasoned tho' ... lol ...

The kid wasn't kiddin' about the big tree ... in fact, there are two of them: one that is still standing and another that blew over about a year or so ago ...

I'll bet that their diameters at the base are 48" or better ...

Sharpened saw chains (3) last night ... got to run down to the saw shop here in a few and pick up a recoil spring and nut for the on/off switch for the saw, along with some bar and chain oil.

Also managed to get the pressure jacked up on the Kubota's loader PRV ... was reading around 1900 psi (100 psi low) and I added two 0.4 mm shims to make it 2200 psi ...

Had no problem lifting the logs ... even with the bucket full and three 5' long 8" diameter logs sitting behind the bucket on the arms ... :D

Still have to do the PRV's for the 3PH and the rear remotes ...

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good afternoon all. 36F this morning and rain, 1.8 in since last night. Sporadic rain this afternoon and 40F for the high. Tomorrows high will occur about 12am or 1 and temps (in the 20's) dropping all day and plenty of wind. Not much on the agenda today, going to the St Louis motorcycle show later. Final mileage on the bicycle was 2,677 miles

Good Afternoon. 1545, rain mist, 74F with 85% humidity. Forecast high of 75F with 20% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 65F tonight. We had a light drizzle most of last night. Not much more than a mist today.

Margie took yesterday off and we went to Marianna to take care of some banking. Had some Christmas returns that needed doing, but the lines were way too long for me. We just picked up what we couldn't live without, and got the heck out of Dodge.

I've been doing a lot of late night reading, so afternoon naps always follow. But I'm back at work today, so I'll have to tough it out. I finished my book just in time for the kickoff of the playoff game, so my timing is still impeccable.

Another cloudy rainy day.

weather was downright miserable here today, rainy with a temp around freezing all day. Higher elevations got ice, but no ice here, was just warm enough.

Yeah ... but it ain't in the teens ... yet ... (get ready for tomorrow night )

Got the recoil spring and the bar and chain oil picked up, other stuff ordered. Also grabbed a scrench ...

Then I hit HFT for diamond splitting wedge, drill-operated drain snake, and some 4 1/2" zip discs ...

After that Ace Hardware for a small tube of stove gasket cement (third time should be a charm) and some AAA batteries.

Got home and got a fire started in the stove @ the shop, cut some of them oak logs into stove lengths, and split some of the maple.

Then came down to the house and brought in a load of oak wood on the two-wheel cart, split that, and then removed the womanly debris that was clogging the shower in the master bedroom ... after some sausage dumplings and sauerkraut.

Now I'm gonna order some odds and ends for the splitter build from Surplus Center, grab a shower, and then head up to the shop.

On tonight's menu are replacing the recoil spring in the chain saw, finishing up the backstop for the pallet forks, cutting a wedge for the splitter out of a piece of 1" x 10" x 12" plate, and maybe a little work on the masts for the grapple.

Coldest air of this season heading for SE next week may see low single digits in my neck of woods Wednesday night. But never fear warm up begins in earnest by end of weekend. With no snow in the offing tractor is really getting bored and so am I for that matter

12F & snowing since ~7 pm. Had sun this morning, topped out at 19F early this afternoon and backslid the rest of the day.

NWS forecast is 4"-8". Weather Channel 8"-12". Both agree this will turn to rain mid day tomorrow.

Be careful out there.

Well boys, I reckon I was born on a nasty, wet, rainy day like today, me birthday. Oh, by the way, this is a news fact: Gubmint is going belly up end of this month, not nary a dime left to pay anything. I know this because I'm due to start getting me first gubmint check next month.
