Tires Caster wheel option for brush hog

Don't know why it took me so long. Since I bought the PT1430 in 2003, I cursed every time I was field mowing with the brush mower because caster wheels were to small and the mower cut to short and used to much HP. The other day I happened to notice that my power rake, that I use once or twice a year and is stored out back in the weeds, has two nice taller and wider caster forks and wheels. And they just happen to fit the brush hog. I only mowed for about an hour with them but they worked great. PT should supply the brush hog with these wheels in stead of those crappy little ones.

Nice rig. I could like a cab like that. The PT brushhog oscillates side to side so it would be kind of floppy with one wheel

I think they do. I bought my brush hog last year, and my caster wheel looks just like yours.

Nope, they are different sizes. Yours is narrower. I rotated them so its easier to do a side by side...

Not only narrower. Also smaller diameter and forks are shorter. Raised the deck about 2or 3 inches with the power rake wheels.
