B2650 on the way

The steering wheel changing position is part of a hydrostatic steering system. This setup has no hard direct link between the steering wheel and the front end. Perfectly normal.

I think you better find an orange spinner so you can get back that 5 hp that green one is sapping out of your machine. :)

That is just funny right there. And, I concur! :D

I got the spinner moved, much better! Still green though. Almost popped a wheelie in the back yard, had to idle it down a bit :D

If it won't crank when you go to use it I would suggest that JD suicide knob be removed tractors are very senstive:cool2:

Anybody know the deal with the wheel/tire sizes on these? For instance why does the B series have "balloon" tires as I call them, small rims and tall tires therefore a lot of sidewall - vs. an L series which has much larger rims and lower profile tires? Does that allow increased capacity on larger tractors? Or are they just trying to keep the smaller ones a little more squishy/comfortable for the homeowners since that's the market for the smaller tractors?

Good question. On my L I had an option of 26" or 28" rims, I went with the 26" because it was a wider tire option and slightly taller. My ford has the 28" rim.

You can get both types on the B3350 -- they have the small R4 option and the large R4 option (which happens to match the tires on my L3200).

As far as sizing between B and L, I'm sure it has everything to do with weight. The B models are feather weights.

Great comments here on this post - especially the issues you've had. I just pulled the trigger on a new B2650 myself. I'll take note of the issues you had and make sure to let my dealer know. I wanted a bigger one (L3301) but the war dept (wife) nixed that one. The L3301 was about another $6K too. Delivery on Friday (3 day total). Below is the tractor being set up. Apparently when they're delivered to dealers all boxed up in a crate. I was surprise to see that even the rear wheel lugs were not pressed in. Anyway, looking forward to pushing dirt around this weekend. IMG_9367.jpg

It's impressive seeing them all crated up, not much wasted space.
