Depth of 26' light pole and how to dig it?

So we finally got it stood and cemented into place. We did dig a trench heading into the hole and used a pry bar to keep it bouncing downward while lifting with the FEL.
I only got the hole dug down to 5 feet so hopefully the 2,500 of cement will hold it in place.

Thanks for all the ideas and motivation. You guys are great.

First call the utility company and tell them what you want to do and they will send someone out to check for wires in the ground and they will mark them will paint on the grass/dirt what have you. If you won't be needing a post hole digger in the future, you can rent one and use your tractor PTO and 3 point and bore a hole for your post. It should be pretty cheap to rent one for the day. Or you could check on cragslist local paper, penny saver or something like that to see if one is for hire and have them bore the hole for you. My post hole digger for my tractor has bites that can go way past 6'. Good luck
