If it wasn't for "tree huggers", we would have smog and pollution like China has. ...but it would be free!

Nah, They're just looking for an excuse for not liking cats.
If they were from N. Zealand I would understand and probably go along with their explanation for their animosity.

Meh, I can take them or leave myself.
My last dog and one of my present dogs was born hating cats though so we don't see too many around here feral or otherwise.

A hungry raccoon will generally cure your excess cat problem from what I hear from friends that have them. Leave them outside with a full bowl of food. Cat will try to guard food, raccoon will take out cat. Problem solved.
PS. I am not a cat lover or tree hugger

Feral cats are in our pheasant field now. Not sure who put them out there but it sure is fun shooting them. It's amusing. We call out rooster, hen and cat. Not sure which is more fun to shoot. Secretly I think it's cats but don't tell anyone!

Feral cats are a problem, a problem caused by people, but a problem none the less. However finding sport in shooting domesticated animals that people have put in the position of starvation and disease, speaks volumes about the person. There are those that feel its sport to shoot the street children that live in the sewers in Brazil, too. Takes all sorts I suppose.

I have nothing against cats... I do have issues with irresponsible pet owners in general. Although I love my dog, if he ever attacked or killed somebody else's (anything) I expect to take responsibililty for his actions. Because he is always under my control-either inside, tied, or within sight- I know what he is doing.

. I enjoy pheasant hunting and dislike cats. It's a win win situation. The cats eat the chicks. The natural balance has been thrown off and I'm here to bring it back into line, no charge. Comparing it to whacking kids in a sewer pipe is a bit of a stretch don't you think?

My elderly cousin had over a hundred feral cats in her barn. She got one of her younger cousins (I am younger than her but too far away to do the deed) to go into the barn and start shooting. He killed about 100 of them. I wasn't happy about it, BUT is wasn't my barn, nor my property and therefore none of my business. I told her just that. Yes, she knew that I was a cat lover.
Two of the kittens we rescued were found in a cardboard box on the side of the road. Two females about 8 weeks old. They live here in the 'lap of luxury'.
I do not like irresponsible pet owners! I don't care what the species of the pet is, just look after it.

Cat lovers will not admit their cute fluffy loving animals are killers of everything small enough for them to hunt. They will even ignore studies and video evidence.Emotion wins over logic once again.

It takes a certain mentality to kill strictly for sport. I hunted for many years, and harvested what I killed. I never ate cats, so I never shot them.
